I lived in the Mountain House (atop Big Mt.) for 2 months in 1986. Old Chair 1 was my way of getting there. When ski season ended, a caretaker was requested for insurance purposes since construction was not fully completed - and i got the job. Lived there from about April 10th until about June 10th. Had the whole mountain top to myself and I could crank the music as loud as I wanted. I'd sit on the deck and take in the view of Flathead valley and Glacier Park. Big Mountain bought my food and let me have anything that was left in the walk in coolers (look out beer!!) Read Walden Pond by Thoreau
