Thanks for the shout out Tom, and happy to know you enjoyed the cigar. I purchased it from a street vendor in Jamaica. One port of call on a cruise we took a few months back. Thanks for bringing us along to the PA Grand Canyon. The wife and I were out in Arizon to see that Grand Canyon in April. We went to the south rim. Neither pictures nor words do it justice. I would recommend that trip to anyone. Stayed in Williams on Rt 66. And not that I'm wishing the summer away, but I am looking forward to our NC hunt!

Watched this video last winter I think, remembered the overlooks. In October we toured the Pine Creek area, hit the major overlooks on both sides of canyon, but a week too late for peek colors but still very pretty! Today I watched video again to see if we hit some of your favorite spots. We ate at lunch at Harland's in Wellsboro, was very good. We travel frequently near Wellsboro but never there before. Will be back soon. Thanks for your interesting camp videos. 👍

What an awesome solo vid Whiterook85. You kept it interesting from start to finish. The bear video and hawk photo were spectacular as to was the views from the lookouts at the PA Grand Canyon. That's a spot I would like to visit sometime. Maybe this summer we'll see. Although the Dutch oven meals always look great I agree it would be nice to see Campcook regain his confidence on the BBQ and smoker with traditional meat grilling and cooking techniques. Thanks for the kind words Ian, even gave you a right in the pockets towards the end. If you can time it right, the first week of October is normally the peak Fall color time there if you can't make it down this Summer. There is more to do, that trail the Amish were biking on goes for a long way, old railroad bed, so it's pretty flat. Take care!

Love the videos. I recently found them and found myself binge watching all of the Hunting trip ones... and the solo ones, and now the spring and other trips. I have a camp a short skip from Cross Fork (been going since I was 2, about 40 years) and it's bringing memories flooding. Can't wait to see more of your adventures! It's making me miss my camp... I'll be there for a couple nights in a few weeks.

Hi Tom. As a Veteran, I really appreciate how you recognize all veterans and especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. I'm a Vietnam Era veteran but was in basic training when the military was being pulled out of Vietnam. So I never set foot there. I think a lot of it rubbed off from Sr. He told me his stories of coming back from Vietnam and almost feeling embarrassed about it. Didn't really even want people to know he was there. When my wife found that sign a few years back, everything just clicked into place. Really enjoy putting the pins and coins in the cabin and making sure our Veterans know they are appreciated. I remember I sitting the canyon when that bike trail was a railroad. Beautiful pictures. I told my wife the next time we visit the resort in the poconos we are going to take a trip up there so she can see it.

We are having a very dry late April and May here in NEPA Don't feel guilty for your clover not growing. One of the driest Springs I can remember. I just planted my garden last week, and the soil is all dust! Looks more like a dry hot August! Clover is very resilient, and will come back after a few good storms. That hawk and snake picture really is a once in a lifetime shot! Simply amazing!! The chances of capturing an action shot like that are impossible!

As long as Camp Cook actually cooks the barbeque and doesn't inhale any, I'm ok with that. BTW, you may want to put the fire pit gravel project on hold. I'm thinking you may need to install round doors like they have in The Shire, because I'm not convinced Camp Cook will be able to fit through those rectangular-framed doors much longer.

Two were absolute trophy class caliber bucks already. One had such mass, he is going to be a beauty. Most of the others were 1 or 2 year old toy bucks. Wellsboro is a beautiful area. I can't wait to see if you guys see more deer this season after you timbered your property. I hunted an area a long while ago with quite a bit of big woods and the deer hunting was kind of slow. They timbered it the following year and the hunting improved dramatically the following season. Were the movies you watched Hatari and Gettysburg. Gettysburg I'm sure of because that scene was when the 20th Maine held the line.

Thanks Brad, going to have to add some more of those side trips in my videos. Ticks weren't an issue. I did wear the long pants and sleeves just in case, but never found any. Not sure if the dry weather is the reason.

Those were the Amish people I paid to build my barn, and instead they were out there having fun biking?!?! But seriously I've been to the Pa Grand Canyon and it's pretty neat, great views. I think you'll see a big difference with all the logging this year, it's all the new fawns will know and they'll go to those cleared out areas more.

Our Spypoint cams have been OK. Had one that made it 2 years before it quit, another that I think we screwed up changing batteries and pinching the gasket. Currently running a solar panel Spypoint and it works fine. My son has Muddy cell cams and has had absolutely no trouble with them.

I been to that place like a million times already but I also like going on the trail when no animals are around as much but I don't like going up to the cabin because of I get homesick and I rather stay home with my 4 cats and my parents too but last night when I was in bed, I had a great dream about going to the grand canyon with my cousin Preston Koch together in the grand canyon like walking on the trail and spending time with Preston and I hope that the grand canyon is great place to hang out with your family and friends

"These are the best little patches that we have" I'm sorry to hear and see all the troubles with the flood plots Tom! I feel your pain seeing those few patches of green across that expansive landing. I'm sure rain would've helped but weeds and warm season grasses are pretty resilient buggers and for you to only have what looks to be less than 1% of that ground to be green is telling. Even without rain, those warm season grasses and weeds should've popped up everywhere... but they aren't... all I see are rocks. (which is about par for the course where you & I are at anyway though.) Really need to have whatever little bit of soil was hidden under that canopy for the last century tested first and foremost. Not sure where you sent it to be tested but make sure you give them a solid 1 cup to work with. If your N, P & K is low and overall pH is subpar, rocks and weeds are about the only thing you're gonna grow! The radar looked pretty good this past week, though, so the plots definitely got some rain finally. Give me a call next time your up.

It happens Kris, it will get better, need to get some lime on it. Maybe a re-seed later in the year if it doesn't come up. Not looking forward to another weed or fern crop instead of some good clover. May be heading back in a couple weeks, normally go up during the week.

I've had a great deal of problems with my SPYPOINT cameras. If it's not the camera it's the app. They haven't been helpful on tech support either. We did the same trail last year when we camped at Leonard Harrison state park. We were sad to see the Barbour Tree is gone.

Have two SpyPoints that are great, work (send pics) everyday, this one, not so much. I heard about the tree, I guess too much foot traffic around it, hopefully it wasn't intentionally disturbed, but then again you know how people are sometimes. Will be back, my drone footage didn't save, had some great cliff shots, it happens. Take care!

I had trouble with the first spypoint I bought that one was on the Verizon network which I got zero coverage at my camp. I returned it and purchase the AT&t version which I think they call national and that one works. Maybe your other ones are are on a different network than this.

The other two up there (about 300 yards apart) work great. No issues with them. I may try swapping the sim card with another I have.

@@whiterook85 if you click status in the app you'll see the model number if it ends in LTE it's AT&t . Check to see if all three of the same model number. I don't think you could swap the Sims. I think it has to do with the radio in the camera as to what bands it can transmit on
