great video I love the Coinstrike its so underated machine. People think its a huge learing curve and give up on it because of not just setting it up, verry verry simple. i got my 10" coil super cheap on ebay and the 5" is from the Fisher ID Edge.

Look at the accepted VDI scale and why its not hitting some times. There is something dragging the vdi down and the vx3 can see it. You need to open up your accepted vdi's.

With your tone i.d. Whites, your a little more preoccupied with trying to discern a (diggable) higher tone especially with 3,4,5 tones to have to decipher than with the simple to use (AND) learned (either good or bad sound) single-tone 'beep and dig' 1270X detector. I have a 1270X with the stock 8" spider coil and have never been disappointed with it. Maybe getting the 10.5" coil might get me a little more depth though, all things considered. This model is actually more rare than the 1266X folks and I'm sure, more powerful too but I was never able to do a side-by-side comparison of the two as I let go my 1266X years ago. Got it brand new back in 1991. Purchased my Fisher 1270X, used off eBay a couple of years ago.

after further watching I see that high pro hit it just about every time. You are comparing a concentric 950 9.5" coil to a double d 12" on the fishers. The vx3 did pretty darn good at the end.

Ummm...the 10.5" Fisher coils aren't double d coils. They're concentric coils and they're 10.5". Josh misspoke in the video.

Some people just have a hard time admitting they paid way too much for an inferior detector.

JBernard79 You are completely kidding yourself. The separation of the v series of detectors is unparalleled. You can see that it was hitting everytime and the user did not have the VDI opened up below 60-65, or somewhere around there. If the VDI are not open and you have zero tone assigned you wont hear it. This owner is obviously new to the v3. Every detector has its strengths and the only weakness with the v3 series by Whites is the lack of a noise cancel and that because Minelab probably holds a patent on it.

the whites requires a lot of tuning to get it do what the fishers do with turn on and go machines..give me a fisher anyday,and the the cz3d and f75 are even more impressive machines..
