David Civerdale is a living legend!!! And Whitesnake is one of the baddest bands across the land, and has been for over 40 years! We wish Dave a wonderful retirement after his recent farewell tour** He may not stay gone for long....

Check out a young David Coverdale with Deep Purple performing "Mistreated" at Cal Jam 74! It's amazing how well he was able to develop and control his vocals later on but the emotion has always been there!

Was an honour and a privilege to be at this gig. Atmosphere was electric as you can see. Whitesnake have an affinity with the Hammersmith Odeon having filmed a gig there back in 1981/82. These musicians are truly next level. Great reaction - more please or Nightwish that you haven’t yet covered. Take care 😊

David Coverdale in his prime is one of my top five favorite hard rock/metal vocalists ever. There may be others out there that had more technical skill, but Coverdale's voice just had this vibe to it that always sucked you in to whatever song he was singing and demanded that you take notice. And this song is my favorite of his, and also in my top five for favorite song from the 80's-90''s metal scene.

I was at this gig. First time I saw them live - 17 years old, with my school mates, few beers before and headed down to Hammersmith, and we were blown away with how good they were that night - good times! Can't believe that was 20 years ago...😂

In 1974, David Coverdale was an obscure British singer who was hired to replace vocalist Ian Gillan in Deep Purple, just as the band was peaking in popularity... Coverdale (and bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes) made their debut on the Deep Purple album 'Burn'... which became their biggest record to date, despite changing their lead singer... and the next album 'Stormbringer' also became a hit in '74. However, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore quit Deep Purple in 1975 to form his own band Rainbow... Deep Purple recorded the album 'Come taste the band' in '75 w/ guitarist Tommy Bolin but fans were not interested in Deep Purple without Blackmore on guitar... The band split up in 1976 after a tragic & chaotic tour... In 1977, David Coverdale launched his solo career w/ 2 albums 'Whitesnake' and 'Northwinds'... He decided to name his new band Whitesnake in 1978 and released a string of successful albums in Europe and then found success in Japan w/ various musicians. American success finally came in 1987 after Coverdale re-recorded a collection of Whitesnake songs for the 'Whitesnake' album and MTV made it a massive hit w/ 3 music videos featuring actress/ model Tawny Kitaen (who later married, and then divorced David Coverdale) - 'Still of the night' ... 'Is this love'... and 'Here I go again'... The album sold 8x platinum in the US. But after the 1989 album 'Slip of the tongue'... Coverdale disbanded Whitesnake in 1991 and recorded 1 album w/ guitarist Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin in 1993 - 'Coverdale.Page'. After attempting to restart as a solo artist, David Coverdale finally gave in and reformed a new version of Whitesnake in 2003 and has carried on until recently... Health problems have apparently led to David Coverdale retiring from touring at the moment.

Doug Aldrich is one bad motherf*cker on that solo. Perfectly lifted from the John Sykes recording on Whitesnake’s album cut. Check Doug’s talents out from this show when he mashes two songs together for his spotlighted solo performance. Hard to find together on KZbin but it’s out there. They’re called “Blues For Mylene” going straight into “Snake Dance.” All of it from Whitesnake Live In London 2002, DVD. One of the better hard rock shows out there. Edits, audio and video production is done by Top Shelf Pro’s….

we wish you well is a short song that Whitesnake liked to end their concerts with. A lovely way to finish a show. Here's a short list of my favorite songs from the band (rarely mentioned by other commentators, so if you'd like to be slightly more original than other reactors in your reactions to that great singer and his various bandmates - you're welcome): "Too many tears" "Restless heart" "Burn" (originally Deep Purple, but when DC left DP Whitesnake perform the song and DP don't) "Stormbringer" (or a live "Burn/Stormbringer" medly) "wings of the storm" "Slave" "Good to be bad" "Fool for your loving" "Time is right for love" "Best years" "Sailing Ships" "only my soul" "Soldier of fortune"

Also massive pop-style hits from their self-titled album like Here I Go Again & several more (Too many to list). (Everyone loves the pop album, but I prefer the older big 3 (listed)).

Love ypur channel & Rayactions to he music. Love Whitesnake but if U really never heard them till now PLEASE find a HD/Premium version of the original video or at least just a much better quality version off Tidal, Spotify, Qobuz, CD whatever. Idk if it was the end of the tour, the people in charge of setting up & mixing/producing the sound or that they were much older but I swear to U that version absolutely doesn't do the song justice. I'm going to steal a line from @BendsMusic "the production musically & composistionally is just outstanding" like the part U spoke of reminding U of a movie during the middle slower breakdown it sounds like there's a violin being played & then the build up going back into main riff of the song is f****** awesome. Please do another Rayaction of it or just listen to a much better quality version, Ty can't wait for more. Although Still Of The Night is my favorite WS tune Here I Go Again is really great too & should done as well.

I’ve liked these guys mainly for being the spawn of Deep Purple Mark III but they have their own legacy as a solid rock and roll band. The 80’s ‘hair bands’ or ‘cock rock’ (whatever you want to call it) were given a bad rap. For better or worse they were true rock and roll.

@LivingInTheKaliYogurt3 ай бұрын
My guess was to avoid the video being blocked. That happens all the time to these reaction channel with the original music amd videos. As soon as the Eye of Sayron (KZbin, BMG, UMG, etc) start blocking and flagging a channel reactions for copyright BS, the blocking is nonstop. If you use live stuff sometimes that helps prevent the issue for some reason.
