Those Iowa bucks just won't quit. Nothing beats a good out of state hunt in Iowa. The proof is in the puddin'. Great episode, awesome work, I respect the hustle, and you guys deserve all the flow that's probably coming your way. I'm glad you guys are back, and I hope to meet you all at the top sooner than later. Keep grinding and all the best from NE Florida !

Anther one of your best interviews. Guy was clearly an experienced bow hunter that pays very good attention to detail. Humble yet had proof for nearly all his kills through video and pics. Not that proof is needed but it was definitely a good addition to the interview.

Nice to see those metal Ohio tags! My first few years hunting were the last few of that tagging system. 1 buck per year, permission is hard to get here in Ohio. Public lands get hammered and don't forget the amish put serious pressure on deer.

Big deer but those are private farm land deer. Try taking a real giant on public land? This is why I have a difficult time watching outdoor channel hunts on tv.
@jsloan04234 жыл бұрын
They’re still free range deer and it’s not high fence hunting so what does it matter? The man killed them fair and square. You act like he had them chained to a tree or something and that no skill was needed to kill those bucks. Public land is the same as private. Right place at the right time, and this man seems to have it down to a science.
@user-et4fv4wx9g4 жыл бұрын
I’ve hunted over 45 years public land in Pennsylvania I’ve only seen maybe 6 130” bucks while hunting. I DIY hunted the last 6 years on Low cost lease land and had opportunity on 140” deer every year. Should have been successful every year but I was successful 3 years with bucks scoring 130, 147, and 150. There both wild but sometimes on private land does don’t even run. No pressure. Public land deer are totally skittish. Still not easy by no means. But different ball game all together I respect both. But I need to know where are your hunting at to appreciate the deer for what it is
@carybobo4 жыл бұрын
jsloan0423 huge difference between public hunting and private. I hunt in an area where the whitetail are essentially hunted 365 days 24/7 by either humans or predators. When I say predators I’m talking yotes, black & grizzly bears, wolves, cougars and hunters. They’re highly educated deer. I’ve seen them snap a twig they stepped on themselves and you think they stepped on a claymore mine with how the jump and run. I highly doubt the deer you hunt are half as skittish. Sure they’re shooting big bucks but I’m not impressed at all. Remember the show where they took the supposed 4 top whitetail hunters put them in a public area split up 4 quadrants and they each had to shoot a doe before a buck. They all struggled to shoot a doe and only one shot a buck. We also hunt mountain ranges anywhere from 3000-5500ft elevation. There isn’t no farm raised food plots on every side of sliver size tree lines. The area I hunt is NE Washington state/northern Idaho. I will tip my hat in that he has studied methods that work for his area but they won’t work where I hunt. My deer free range the mountain. There is no patterning them. You can’t. They’re constantly moving around due to the pressures of hunting and predators.
