That’s great you actually have a good tech at your scheels. Last time I took a bow to scheels to have a new rest put on he simply bolted it on and tied the string to the cable serving with a dloop knot and handed it back to me. Didn’t even make sure the rest was timed right. I told him to take it off cause I’m not paying for Walmart service.

I've had 7 Hoyts in the last 15 years. My bow for this season came down to this one and the Vertix. Shot both...loved both. It came down to price and I went with the Vertix. I've never had a carbon bow so if the '19 RX-3's go on sale this fall Im definitely getting one. Props to Sheels and the tech that set you up. Great video!

While some bows may outperform others what you just seen is what it's all about knowing all the points of fine tuning that particular bow and knowing the right arrow weight it likes to shoot then match your broadheads to that then it's time to get busy

I am lucky to find a good bow tech that I trust and respect. The amount of time my shop charges me to spend a couple hours building a new bow, plus my OCD tuning is crazy, i toss another bill out of respect....

Man, I'd kill for a bow tech HALF as competent up here. Not a Hoyt fan but not a brand fan boy either....it's all about what fits and works for your tastes. Still, I hope you know how fortunate you are to have someone behind the counter that doesn't just slap stuff together like even the 'pro' shops do around here. I had about enough of it a couple years back and now do all my own work and tuning. Mathews Halon 32 70# shooting a 418 grain arrow at 318fps.
@gigilaco

I’m not a brand fan either, far from it actually. I look for quality, looks, and price. I picked up my Junxing M122 for $300 brand new straight from the manufacturer and it shoots better than my Bear Attack I got a couple of years ago. It’s IBO speed is 330 fps and I’m pushing 300 with my set up. I’m extremely, extremely happy with it. It’s laying in my bed with me right now.

I have an original Black Widow Recurve, Miami Valley Company Long Bow, waiting for my father to hand me down his Rocky Mountain Take Down Recurve that he can’t shoot anymore, and I am going to buy a new Zipper Take Down Recurve. I like your Hoyt RX 3 Rig. Sweet set -Up. Nice video

I've been having a difficult time timing my rx1 and the way the young man explained it was fast , simple and made sense with no long drawn out explanations that only confuse people more. Does the young man tuning the bow have a youtube channel that people can subscribe to because I learned more in the last 17 mins than I have in the last week watching long drawn out examples of how 2s on your bow.

I didn't catch it if this was mentioned but is that the number two cam or number 3? I want to do the same thing with a helix and 80lb limbs with a 27.5 draw. Are you shooting fixed blades or mechanical? Ive heard tuning fixed blades can be a nightmare when shooting around 300 fps
@WhitetailFit

Ive shot the helix at 70lbs with the number 3 cam. Draws smooth but it wants to jump off the back wall at full draw. My only concern with the number 2 cam is that it takes the smoothness out of the draw that i like so much. Thanks for the feedback

Kid setting it up has skill but why do you have an 81.14 draw weight and it only shoots 301? Maybe you should switch bows. My current bowtech assassin is at 60 lbs. and shoots 275 at 70 with a little longer length it can go 330 and my dads bowtech rpm 360 is a 70 lb. draw weight that has the potential to go 80 lbs. and already breaks 300 fps
