We logged aspen last January and I can’t believe the shoots that have shot up. The forester said aspen is one of the few that can out compete with invasive buckthorn which I have plenty of. Good luck fishing! See you next time.

This channel has been great for me. Successfully harvested my first buck in PA. An above average 8 point. I invested in 4 cameras on my 10 acres. Unfortunately 2 of them have been stolen. Really sucks and sad that happened on my property. I won’t allow it to discourage me.

Winter is THE time of year to log and cut. Small animals are hibernating deep in the ground. The ground is frozen and gets less damaged. Limbs not cleaned up are nibbled on by deer, elk, rabbits etc..

Are cherry trees good for hinge cutting

They are really not that great, because they are more brittle. I do like to hinge smaller ones only part way thru tho, when dropping other ones on top of them.
