@cool chill. Rematches are a chance for the defeated to redeem themselves predicated on their performance in a losing cause. Not a judgement on the legitimacy of the first fight. Plus Tyson must accept a second fight. And I don't believe a case for his cheating in the first bout would convince him to give Wilder another shot.

It makes no statistical sense. There was a football player from my high school that ran a 4.2 and some change. I can’t remember his name. He’s not in the NFL. Why? Cuz you can’t win a football game just running a 40yd dash. There’s more to the sport. Wilder doesn’t respect the sport of boxing enough to be a student to the craft to give himself the opportunity to be the best. Good for him he got this L. Maybe it’ll motivate him to learn a true love for the sport. But with all these excuses coming out and as much as he runs his mouth spreadin hate, I’m glad his seashells got knocked out his plats. Straight up and I’m black and American! This ain’t about race. It’s about the sport. You gonna meet your match one day. We all will. It’s what you do with the L...it’s too early to say but if his direction is to blame everyone else...then he don’t represent me and that’s just 100. Tired of hearin the cryin. Maybe he ain’t tired of hearing cuz he can’t hear...clown almost got his ear knocked off 3rd round. And don’t come about no equilibrium bs on my comment cuz his ear drum wasn’t ruptured. Shouldn’t have been using your ear to block shots then.

@Basement Dot God given strength is gonna make you a heavyweight boxing world champion? Wtf are you talking about! Boxing i.q, technique, years and years and years of studying the sweet science and putting it into practice will do that. Wilder thought the same thing as your 1 track mind and look at what happened! He relied on his "strength" until he got exposed. King Kong Ortiz exposed Wilder long before Fury did, the difference was, Fury was in his face, never let Wilder use his length to throw his right. Ortiz outboxed, outfinessed Wilder, just like Fury......Ortiz's mistake was keeping Wilder at length, playing into Wilder's advantage and it cost Ortiz. If you know anything about the sweet science, a boxer beats a puncher any day of the week.

@The Jim Reaper™ I was never a Wilder fan. I don't like him in the least. His ring entrance was the most cringe thing I've ever seen and I can't stand his "We Wuz Kangs" babble. But I'm still not going to wish him ill. And I do hope he gets the blackity black excuse mongers out of his ear so that he can make the improvements he needs to make, otherwise he's going to get destroyed even worse next time. Right now he still seems to be stuck in his delusions.

Wilder got beat by a better boxer. In order for him to win (assuming there's a trilogy) he'd have to reinvent himself (actually learn how to box) which I don't think he'll do. If I were Fury I'd fight Joshua twice, beat him twice, and then retire.

@Oli Black no it says they had a draw and a tko the first fight being a draw was nothing but one man officially won so now it warrants a rematch ANY champ that loses his belt deserves a shot to reclaim it especially if hes been defending it 10 times I'd say he deserves it and since so many people feel wilder is out matched and has no chance it's easy work why not and wilder gave fury a payday when he needed it return the favor if wilder wins they fight one last time if not fury kept his word he can go beat up Aj
@coopcooper1632
@coopcooper1632 4 жыл бұрын
@Oli Black that's a narrative I thought the fight was a draw because early rounds neither did much most close rounds go to the champion but because all of boxing against wilder cause he's not a traditional boxer he doesn't get benefit of doubt but all that's whatever at the end of the day a clause was put there for rematch so honor it he didn't want old man Klitschko in rematch so I think he'll find away out ...ANY champion that loses deserves a rematch period....fury wasn't a mandatory when he GAVE him a shot didn't have to rematch him cause it wasn't a mandatory but yet he gave fury 2 chances you really think fury is not going to be a man of his word ?????

Wilder will need to learn how to actually box properly and not just rely on his big right hand bailing him out of trouble, that punch is his biggest strength but is also his biggest weakness - go back through a number of his fight and you will see that in quite a few of them he was being outboxed before he landed with that haymaker. For me his best bet at regaining the title is waiting and hoping that Joshua can beat Fury as I think he would have a better chance against AJ because Fury has totally had his number in both fights and I can't see a 3rd fight being any different.

Check out the lead up to the first fight and see how there were a lot of racial overtones coming from Tyson Fury's mouth. He then had the audacity to suggest he wanted no part of the racial circus in the second fight - quite disingenuous when he benefits from his Whiteness, regardless if he's a gypsy or not. How does he benefit? He had most fans of his color on his side(even the Americans)/even Blk people, and he's not considered a dirty fighter(he's "crafty", tough, smart, etc). Whereas Wilder would be deemed dirty had he executed the same performance in the inverse.

Marcellus has the most accurate, honest analysis. It's a mistake to think Wilder will be competitive in a quick rematch. Fury and Wilder are at different levels of understanding the game. Honestly, at 34 Wilder can't expect to gain the movement, agility, and boxing acumen that Fury has attained over his career. For too long Wilder relied on his right hand cannon and didn't develop the proper feints, head movement, and footwork. Everything essentially came to a head with this fight against a man that can outreach him, outbox him, and outwill him, as Marcellus said.

Fury’s game plan was simple. Walk in, stay close which takes away WIlders right hand. Since wilder cant box. All he had to do was be effective with the jab, to keep space between him and Fury. He let Fury come in and do what he wanted to do. Wilder needs to fire his whole staff and get some one in there who can teach him how to box AND make in ring adjustments.
