This is the most accurate representation of the holidays I’ve ever seen… I lost my grandpa 4 1/2 years ago so it just doesn’t feel the same anymore and it’s been hard to enjoy thanksgiving and Christmas without him here. Watching the little ones on Christmas gives me hope and fills me with joy knowing how excited they are. Thank you for this, truly.

I know exactly how you feel my papa passed away from cancer and it's been 4 and a half years also and then 2 years later my other grandpa unexpectedly passed 2 years later and then 6 months goes by and my granny passed away 4 months later and ever since they passed away their favorite holidays and their birthday hurts so bad bc it's still raw bc it's still so fresh they say it gets easier but I think it's a lie it seems that it gets harder and harder each year bc it feels like a reoccurring nightmare that I can't wake up from bc they were all my best friends and loved me unconditionally and I miss them so much and I was only able to say goodbye to my granny both of my grandpa's I wasn't lucky enough to say goodbye bc it was too late I miss them all every day and wished that I spent more time with them instead of wasting time on other pointless stuff and it's sad I had to learn the hard way so i completely understand but the best i can do is spend time with the remainder grandmas and grandpa since i only have one left thoughts and prayers for a little bit healing in your grieving heart💜🙏🏻

This is such a beautiful song, Whitney. I can imagine how much you're missing your lovely granddad - especially at this time of year which really celebrates family. We lost my older brother in August, to cancer. It was such a shock as he was only 62, really fit and active and had a pretty healthy lifestyle. Christmas will be tough for many this year. Your granddad loved you so much. I am sure he will be watching down proudly. Keep up the song-writing - you have a real gift for composition, performance and film-making. Good luck!

I cannot put into words how much this song really hit me. I haven’t been able to find a song for how I’ve felt the last 3 years. My grandma who was the most important person to me got really sick mid December 2020 and she passed at the end of the month. Christmas was always my favorite holiday because of all the joy and lights but now it just reminds me she isn’t here and how much it hurts. This song gave me som peace❤

Now that I've heard the full video version, I can understand the lyrics better and follow the arrangement more clearly... and it strikes a chord deep down having lost my parents in the past two years. As someone else commented "growing up is hard sometimes..." no, it's hard every time... Love how Whitney evoked that understanding with a beautiful vocal performance and a poignant video... wishing her Happy Holidays always as she journeys on... KDM

Yep definitely understand!. It probably is part of growing up, but I also think it's important to look out in case you have depression or something bigger going on. It can make things we once enjoyed, seem totally pointless and unenjoyable. Great song Whitney. It definitely made me think about things.

Can someone down in the comments tell me if Santa is real or nit. Is it just parents. Trust no hurt feeling I am15
@no_kangaroos_in_Austria Жыл бұрын
Here in Austria we don't have Santa but the 'Christkind'. My daughter (10) asked me something similar these days. I could tell that she really, really wanted to believe. So I said - the parents are like the Christkind's helpers. She was satisfied with that. If you want to believe, just do it, it is a really sweet notion. What do your friends say?
