This woman's voice is like velvet. People always speak of her belting power, but that rich crystal clear tone is the crowning glory of her voice.
@paulthomas281 Жыл бұрын
@ThePharaoho That rich crystal tone in her voice is the greatest sound I've ever heard. Whitney Houston's 1980s voice is the greatest voice in the history of Western popular music. Of course Whitney's post-1992 voice is wonderful and strong, but her voice changed after having a baby. Celine Dion's voice changed considerably too, a year after her son's birth.
@jakestroll6518 Жыл бұрын
I’ve always struggled to describe her voice. I’ve always just called it a voice like glass but velvet works too. Her head voice is like nothing I’ve ever heard, not that she’s always hitting outrageous notes but just something about it is otherworldly. RIP Queen.
@christianWilliams-pc4jn Жыл бұрын
@@jakestroll6518I'll describe it for you. Rich, warm, and smooth like honey. Not even butter... honey. This song showcases her tone. No signature power vocals...just the tone. Unmatched by any singer.. past, present, and probably future. Her head voice is also unsurpassed but that tone is heaven.

Just look at how beautiful Whitney was visually. I just thought "I want my Whitney" spoke her name into the microphone and here I am. Miss her so much and think about what she may be doing if she were still here as I contempt launching my music career because I can really sing and dance even better than I did back in the day. I am not trying to be famous so, if I were a social media type I would ask for peoples opinion. But I want to spend the rest of my life in doing what the thing I love the most. Love you Whitney, always 😢

People often say that Whitney's peak of vocal performance is during the Bodyguard's era. But I disagree. THIS SONG is her peak of vocal performance. "Exhale" exudes her vocal maturity without resorting to big vocals. So basically with this song Whitney's performance is like, "I know my shit. Just lemme sing my heart out sincerely here."
@Housee014 жыл бұрын
This song does "resort to big vocals " she is singing w/ a lot of control and constantly transitioning her voice soft and loud to convey the meaning of the song. this is a very difficult song
