You have just instantly taken out all the "guess work" of where to start for beginners (like myself). There are millions of videos with millions of suggestions on which brush to use for each section u are applying it to. I have been avoiding buying a decent set of brushes as it's just too intimidating on which brand to buy and which part of the eye u are applying it to, until now !!! If only I had seen this earlier ! Thank god I clicked on this video, because I ALMOST feel like every other video I have ever watched on tutorials was a waste of time one how to learn ! You have wrapped up millions of hours into about 18 minutes. YOU ARE AMAZING !!! You are an angel sent from heaven! I just started using make up recently so it's all a learning process for me. I just bought the mac 217 & 224. I love it! I asked one of the sales guy there to help me. I asked him to show me which one is best for blending eye shadows. It's a bit pricey but if you invest on good brushes, you'll be really satisfied once you apply what you learned watching all these tutorials on KZbin. Lol! It really made a huge difference compared to when I was just using brushes I bought from the drugstore. Don't get me wrong here, nothing against drugstore brushes but the brushes really makes a huge difference. Now I didn't know about the pencil brush. I learned something new today. And the way you counted the steps on applying eye shadow, it all makes sense now. Haha! Thank you for this video. By the way, I just subscribed! 👍

Whitney, THANK YOU!!! Let me just say, THANK YOU! I am 43 years old. I've always loved makeup but was never really "good" at applying eye shadow. I did the most simple thing ever. Just recently, I wanted to learn how to get THAT eye shadow look. That beautiful well blended look. SO I started watching the crazy amount of videos of HOW TO's. I started building my makeup collection, discovered products I never knew about. Went to the Mac store, placed a couple orders on MUG. So, now what do I do with all of this product? I've tried, I failed, etc. It wasn't until I watched THIS video of yours in particular until it clicked. The way you broke this down and explained the brushes, the techniques, etc it clicked. I purchased a few great brushes. It really does make a difference. I actually got a, "your eye makeup looks so good. So THANK YOU for sharing your expertise here. This video is so informative than most videos that I have watched. I have worn makeup for years but have always avoided doing eyeshadows looks because of its complexity. It would have been awesome if you could have done a demo look on one of your eyes just to show us the gradient look and how each eyeshadows blend with each other. But beside that, I love this video!! I love your channel.
