This whole show is a blow by blow of how an abusive partner molds their victim into what they want. Spencer managed to remove her from her best friend and now slowly remove her family. She’s never allowed to be alone without him because he’s concerned someone will say some truth to her. The fact that holly said “I don’t have your number “ makes me feel like Spencer made her change her number. What a toxic relationship. If he’s blowing off like that in front of the cameras could you imagine what he’s like when they alone.

Yup - and him being "unhinged" is his narcissism not being able to control EVERY aspect of what being on a reality show entails: he could achieve control early on, which is displayed in his "perfect 10" final product vision of Heidi, but anything beyond that is not aligning for him i.e public opinions, magazines, family 'meddling' etc. So sad to watch it all unfold.

Especially one you can ride! I‘ve been to an elephant rescue camp in Thailand and there they taught us that you need to break an elephants will by isolating and abusing it long enough in order for the elephant to even do anything a human wants it to do. Also, riding an elephant is extremely hurtful for it because its back is not made for it. It‘s so sad that people do this just for a photo or „the experience“ without knowing anything about these creatures.

Yeah, I did not like seeing that. My perspective on situations like that with animals has changed SO MUCH over the last few years. Now I feel overwhelmingly depressed when I see animals being used as entertainment in any capacity like that, I’m embarrassed that I ever actually went to a zoo or Sea World or any similar place. It’s all gross and I can’t believe it’s still seen as “acceptable” to so many people.

I think it’s because of the surgery she had on her nose. Whenever you get a nose job you run the risk of your voice either being slightly altered or permanently changed. However it is really sad to see/hear Heidi here. I think Whitney said in an earlier video that Heidi basically morphed herself into Spencer’s playboy fantasy and completely lost herself. I agree.

Just want to add in at the 13 min mark: If someone you care about shows signs of the being isolated, controlled or other flags of an unhealthy relationship, it’s a good idea to stay in touch with them. There’s a lot of shame and head games that can happen in bad relationships that can keep people from speaking up. Maintaining contacting (while keeping healthy boundaries) can make all the difference. I don’t mean to imply anything about Speidi, but just wanted to say this because it saddens me to see Heidi be mostly abandoned by the cast. I hope anyone who is struggling in an unsafe relationship has access to resources and support.

Hearing Audrina say that Spencer is crazy is a little infuriating. Lauren explained for YEARS that she didn't want to be friends with Heidi because of Spencer, yet every single woman on this show pushed her to make amends (apart from Whit). I know a lot of this can be blamed on production, but thinking back to Lauren's last season and the pressure they put on her to attend the wedding then seeing this footage just validates all her feelings about them. Crazy how it took everyone else so long to see that their behavior was toxic.

I have a theory that Heidi is staying for the money. What I have heard from Stephanie (in many interviews) it's that Spencer is the "man in the family" he is going to have everything his family owns once they have passed away. Heidi family seems well off but they are not LA rich people, I think Heidi got sucked into Hollywood lifestyle and wanted that and for that you need money she saw spencer is from a very very well off family and the rest is history.

@@karawigley6231 Heidi was obviously upset with her family at that time because she had literally just died for one minute during surgery and was still recovering from the pain, and her family just made fun of her. Holly didn't deserve to be treated that way but Heidi was probably hurt and not standing up for the person who had just hurt her. They talk now and Holly and Spencer get along so whatever you want to believe, I choose to support them as a family now. I think people are forgetting that Spencer was also extremely traumatized and the fame and everything was getting to his head and making him go crazy.

Spencer and Heidi are unwatchable. Watching this reminds me how much everyone hated these 2 by the end of the series. The way Spencer treats people, and the way Heidi lets him get away with treating her own mother like that is extremely frustrating, and the this is……they haven’t really changed at all in 10 years.

Kristin said in a recent interview with her long time friend Brett Gursky, that Brody was still dating Jayde that whole time and their break up was fake, and she was dating someone outside of the show (aka camera guy) and then Brody was dating Avril Lavigne at some stage. In other words, her and Brody never dated during the hills.

Heidi said on a podcast she told her mom if you’re going to say anything bad about the surgery please don’t do it on camera, but the producers told her mom to go with it and that’s why Heidi was so upset. She also said the doctors made it seem like she was going in for basic procedures but they did so much it was actually scary for her health and so painful

This show was so much fun at first when it used to be about young people’s lives with ambitions. I would have loved to have lived the cast’s life as a teenager with all the fun internships, adventures and parties. By this season it is just a bunch of rich people hanging out hating on each other. No substance at all and their conversations don’t even make sense anymore.

I feel like Heidi hasn’t been herself since she got with Spencer and I feel that she learnt to mimic his behaviours to maintain that "team” unit against "the world" because she can’t see how bad he is.
