Received my copy of Carving Faces in Wood today. Looks fantastic and instructive. It's great to see wood varieties noted with the sculptures. Pretty easy to tell most of the unlabelled ones are cottonwood bark. I have a couple of 18 inch diameter Japanese maple logs from an arborist I'm itching to try. And a couple of large chunks of Japanese cheesewood, which is wonderful but has a strong odor from saponins that sticks with you.

Does someone online sell the blocks already cut triangular for folks that don’t have power tools/bandsaw. I have google searched but can’t find any sources, Thank you
