I get the impression that individuals embracing their sexuality, whatever that may be, is part of the awakening of humanity as a whole. We humans of all stripes each are to be known as simply human, and to be embraced as such. Let us embrace each other as we really are. Thanks for the video.

Having not been in a romantic relationship for nearly a decade, questioning of sexuality and gender came up a LOT last year (and continues to some extent). My mind really wants to know why romantic relationships are so rare for me. Surrendering to these feelings, especially the ones that go against the orientation I've always assumed to have, really is the only way. A lot of shame, confusion, anger, that I'm thankful to have gone through ultimately. Thank you so much for this, I've been afraid that discussing these kinds of things with those closest to me would make me sound insane. Really interesting topic, I'd love to hear more.

This is fascinating and makes perfect sense. If sexual orientation is part of identity, then naturally it will be questioned and potentially expanded. Every facet of identity is on the table. Additionally, when we self realize, we see that we contain every possibility within ourselves and this can be disorienting and fearful. Thank you for bringing such a sensitive topic to the light! 🙏🏻❣️

Thank you for sharing this. I experience something like terror or panic when I hear people talk about sexuality. I appreciate knowing that this is not altogether uncommon!

this is beautiful. I want to share that initially I felt some contraction as you introduced the subject, but because I feel safe with you I simply sat and allowed it to be in me, and then welcomed it. glad you are speaking to this, for many reasons both personal and collective. much love xoxo -shannon

Interesting, thanks for sharing. It's an important topic. It's been really tricky aspect for me throughout life. I don't even know about orientation, but I'll probably not have any relationships so it doesn't matter. Resistance and control does seem to lower. But I'm also seeing the benefits of retention, so that there's more energy.

Thanks for discussing this. Interesting to hear about this trend with the men you’ve been working with. I went to a party this summer where they asked guests to put their pronouns on the name tags - fun idea for the crowd there. As a cisgender male, I found it interesting that when I glanced inward to confirm my pronoun answer, there was nothing but a big ol question mark/sea of silence.

This was like one of my first "koans" of sorts before discovering awakening, for lack of a better term. "How do I know what gender I am, can I feel 'man' in my direct experience?"

Ha! Totally get that. Cool / interesting way to be intuitively drawn to start looking toward what is true!…cool that the looking continued!

Osho was a big motivator of confronting this sexual shame in a healthy way. Though much of the world was not able to embrace his message. Great work your doing. ❤

Can you please explain why false sexual abuse memories come up? I'm a young man, and I had something like that come up during an ayahuasca ceremony. It totally blindsided me. I've also had it come up during shadow work. Thank you! :)

thank you for the question 🧡 many reasons beyond my capacity to name here briefly… and I hesitate to say too much without being in-person/in-dialogue because each person’s unique experience is so nuanced… but to answer your q… patterns I see: false memories often come up around fear of fear - we are afraid of possibly encountering something terrifying in the unknown so the internal response is to scare us away from it as much as possible… so it creates a contracted distance through the scariest, most threatening possible experience based on what we’ve been taught is dangerous or unsafe or not ok

Feels like this is approaching one sided as close as possible. Which is understandable due to input from the starting point of the female sex in a part of the most polarized part of the world. In the western part of the world, ie western europe this type of monologue would be ridiculous.

I wonder if you are speaking to a reported global decline in sexual activity when you refer to puritanism? Interestingly, this began earlier this century and then the fear and isolation of the pandemic furthered the phenomenon (not surprisingly). That energy has to have been redirected somewhere. Rates of anxiety, obsession with Netflix binging, celebrities or college sports? Also, when you speak of those awakening, isn’t there a bit of preponderance for young adult males (early 20s/30s) and older women which may help to explain your observations (more/different energy to channel). As always, you’ve given us something to think about 😊.
