Thank you Dr Melissa for all your efforts that you are putting to clarify the contemporary issues. I really do appreciate your struggle to come up with such constructive videos. I would like to ask for your advice regarding the Ideal country to migrate to, for your information, I am about to complete my PhD in financial economics here in Malaysia, and I wonder if you can give a tip or hint regarding this matter. By the way, I have met you here in Malaysia in UPM where you delivered a talk on migration.

Many destination countries certify organizations that assist with visa advice and help people complete their applications. It is certainly worth checking if the countries you'd like to work in have such a service.

Thank you for your interesting video, i’m surprised China made high skill visa, wondering who is going to use them...
@MelissaSiegelMigration3 жыл бұрын
Good question! China has had the R visa for special talents for some time now, although it was previously only accessible after a government body approved a migrant's application for highly skilled work. Many tools regarding Chinese visa advice are angled towards people who will work in academics, research & innovation, and related STEM fields. The points system is the only relatively new component of the immigration system.

Glad the information is useful! The answer to your question depends on where you would like to go, so a good first step is looking at the immigration services website of the country you are interested in.

Hello Dr. Melissa, your videos are highly informative. Thank you for that. Could you please share some websites or any other way to find a job as a high skilled worker? (IT sector). Thanks in advance.

This website is a global database of jobs advertised for "expats" www.expat.com/en/jobs/ If you have specific countries in mind, you can use google to find country-specific job boards.

Since this is a legal question, I would advise getting in touch with a lawyer. My position as an academic professor does not equip me to advise on individual situations.

awesome video, and I have a question about highly skilled migrant visa and I will appreciate you if you help me. My question is can a person who has an IT job offer, get the Highly Skilled Migrant Visa without any degree and no work experience?? Thanks a lot
@MelissaSiegelMigration3 жыл бұрын
This is a pretty specific question that I suggest you bring to an immigration lawyer or officer in your destination country. It could certainly be that you can get a visa with just a job offer alone, but these circumstances differ between each country. Your destination country's immigration authority is therefore the best source to answer your question.
