Levshunov dosent even look like a top pair guy to me that’s the problem a good amount of scouts have him more of a better top 4 guy and lacking hockey IQ for a top 2 pick

Yeah a coup to teams playing the Hawks in the playoffs. You build from the goal and up the middle. And you build a defense first team.

@@plrt6794 Yeah right, let's pass up a chance to come at teams in waves. Those grind it out guys should have come down the road. At the top of the draft, during the rebuild years, they could have had the kind of dominant puck control offense that led them to 3 Cup championships. The best defense can be an offense that keeps the puck in the other end....

Who said anything about grind it out guys? I said you build goalie out and down the middle. Also look at the Leafs a team built to come at you in waves with lots of offensive power but can’t compete when it matters because they can’t defend and their forwards who are great in the regular season have no stomach for the tougher playoffs. Demidov was a nice to have but the team NEEDS a top pairing defenseman. As for Eiserman I have no idea why he dropped from consensus number two overall to 20th but you’ve got to believe he has some baggage in some form aside from being a one dimensional player. And if you read about Boisvert it sounds like he’s very similar to Jonathan Toews in terms of skill. I want to see two way players who can compete when it matters.

@@plrt6794 Goalies are possibly the most overrated players in pro sports. The difference between any era HOF goalie and league average goalie is razor thin using the only metric that really counts--save percentage. Most all HOF goalies benefit from the team in front of them. I SAY Boisvert is the definition of a grind it out guy. Levshunov will prove to be no better than the top 3 to 4 young defensemen they already had in the system. The Leafs do NOT come at you in waves. Kyle Davidson is Ryan Pace 2.0. Passing on Demidov and Eiserman is not unlike passing up 2 far better QB's by selecting Trubisky. Time will tell who is right.....

@@jms3261. The Leafs come at you in waves then the opponent comes at them in waves because they can’t defend. What makes you certain an 18 year old, who many feel is a top pairing defenseman, is only a second pairing guy? I was hoping the Hawks chose Demidov but in understand why they went with Levshunov. If AL does in fact prove to be a top pairing guy they have much more balance then having Demidov along with other similar one dimensional prospects Nazar, Moore, Kantserov, Lardis. I think Eiserman is not only a one dimensional scoring forward but I wonder about his attitude. As for Boisvert he sounds like a grinding type forward who plays a two hundred foot game who has a great shot and has scoring ability. And yes you’re right time will tell.
