WHO are the Ferals? | Outriders Lore

I encountered a Feral labeled as a Skirmisher Warlord, but the lore has nothing to say about those of his rank. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Also apologies for the delay in videos. I'm trying a new method where I record videos in bulk before releasing them so we'll see how well that works.

The Ferals reminds me of the Locust from the Gears of War games I finished Outriders a while ago and i have been using your videos to catch up on lore details that i missed I found your channel thanks to your the fall of Earth video. When i got to the part of the game where you fight the Ferals for the first time. I thought that the anomaly had mutated Monroys soldiers into the Ferals but i was wrong about that lol. Keep up the good work your videos are quality I want to see Outriders become at the very least a trillogy because its a really cool universe in terms of lore

I wonder if the Ferals retain their memories?Because on the final Expedition, you fight Yagak and he actually starts speaking to you. I would love to see a video on the Anomaly itself, on how it effects the world, how it came around and if its prominent around the whole of Enoch or just in this area. Great video as usual.

Sorry for the late reply. I definitely want to make a video on the Anomaly at some stage and certainly plan to. I don't believe we have all the answers surrounding the Anomaly, but we do have some, and these do help to paint a picture of what this energy is. As for the Ferals, I think they must have some form of memory left, but that memory has been altered. Human Altered are said to eventually lose all friends and family because of the mental transformation that takes place. I would assume a similar transformation happens for the Ferals. Great comment as usual.

I really like your movies and hope you will continue them! I have a slight suggestion. Match the "background" to the content. You talk about Ferals and you show gameplay from fighting with animals. Why not show some graphics or illustrations from the in-game journal instead? Your viewers know what the game looks like :-)

Alright so I began recording the gameplay fighting ferals, and then I changed location to the desert area. The only reason you see me fighting the other enemies, is because I was on my way to the feral part of the map and I had to get through them first. Still it's a fair point, and from now on it should be easier when I focus on the other enemy races. Thanks for the advice man I will certainly act on it.

The main thing I took away from the story of outriders is “Fuck Monroy”

Monroy was a necessity to make the planet so screwed story wise, because without him you wouldn't see this dire state that humanity is in. The pax would've probably kept the Anomaly purely on their side of the forest as seen by how different the wildlife was in prologue.
