I once saw Quetzalcoatl while meditating after eating some shrooms. Feathered serpent hardly begins to describe him. He was a serpent and the scales were like flaming feathers made of jewels but human language cannot fully explain it.

I liked version of them where they are essentially aliens from space that came from the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. Then fast forward to today and Quetzalcoatl fancies herself playing lucha and Tezcatlipoca loves collecting modern firearms. There is also Tenochtitlan who is an amalgamation between certain aspects of Tlaloc and Huitzilopochtli and being able to pilot a giant city sized mecha robot. The Aztecs knew how to have a fun time.
