Who are the Wagner mercenary group being led by ‘Putin’s chef’? - BBC Newsnight

In Ukraine, Russian soldiers haven't taken a town or city for months; but in the last 24 hours a private army - pro Russian mercenaries - claim they have, right next to the Donbass region in the east, in some of the bloodiest, heaviest battles of the war so far.
These men are not formal troops trained and led by the Russian military, but ones who make up a notoriously brutal collection of fighters called the Wagner Group, led by a rich Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin who used to be known as President Putin's chef.
So who are this shadowy army and what exactly is their relationship with the Kremlin?

An Australian Mecenary on the Bahkmut front has done a interview saying Wagner has taken very little casualties. The purpose of Bahkmut offensive is to draw in the elite battalions of Ukrain and destroy them. WAGNER group operstives all have NVG, drones, blue light capabilities. As well prepaired as any western army. Where Ukrain has already lost atleast an entire battalion there.

I laugh remembering the times that I used to debate some people about US and Russian army capabilities, those people always insisted on convincing me that Russian army is the most powerful that not even US couldn't take them on. How is Wagner different from Blackwater? It is true, the western press always calls Blackwater "contractors" but Wagner "mercenaries", revealing how unobjective they are. To the outside observer with a little skepticism it appears that the longer the western press questions the rationality of the Russian military strategy, the less believable it becomes to it's viewers. This and other western "press" channels should just rename themselves entertainment fan clubs.

The obvious solution is this. EVERY piece throughout Europe should be returned to the country of origin unless they have proof that they paid a fair price. If these counties and museums want them back, they should first return they and pay the rightful owners the price that those true owners want without negotiation Britian should return these pieces and shut up about it.
