Love how you're giving KOF a chance with 15. Sooner or later, you'll get the hang of things when adjusting from one great fighting game to another. Granted it'll be extremely difficult compared to the slow pace of Street Fighter in general. Vanessa and Clark I could already see being 2 of your 3 mains for your team. Now you just need that one last piece of the puzzle to fill in the hole. Mind if I suggest that either Iori, Chris or Krohnen that can do just that for you? Maybe find someone more experienced on the series who can give you tips on how to do well in this game.

Stuff like that (his follow up elbow drop and eventually gaining the amazing follow ups after his running takedown) have been a huge part of why Clark is one of my favorite grapplers. Most of my favorite grapplers are in KOF games, they seem to be so much better at making that character archetype. Shermie, Blue Mary, Goro... Honestly I could just put every KOF grappler on a list and call it a day. Love seeing you discover this franchise. Always love your competitive matches and look forward to you playing this someplace like Evo. Some fun Clark info. Him and Ralf were almost completely the same character when first created, and differentiated more over time. Think Ken and Ryu. Clark is more the Ryu of the two. He has a lot of Superman Easter Eggs. Clark (Kent) (Man of) Steel. Spelling has changed a few times, mostly due to translation errors (common in SNK games) from English to Japanese Characters and back. Steel/Still. The glasses are to make him look more like Clark Kent. He has super strength and is insanely sturdy ...like Superman. He also has a lot of Kinnukuman references in his moves. (Ultimate Muscle). This actually isn't that uncommon, he shares this trait with King in Tekken.

Clark and Ralf, the Ikari Warriors. That is a classic SNK run and gun franchise that more than deserves a remaster or reboot. Ralf leans towards the grapple and brawl style while Clark does more wrestling grabs and throws. I believe your chat understands you.

The thing is that Ralf losing his grab has the goal of taking further the specialization of each char. That's a positive nerf, in a way. He and Clark started almost like the same char, like Ryu and Ken, and kept becoming more different from each other with time. And that proccess simply hasnt stopped in the classic games. One big step was exactly taking Ralf's grab recently. Just like SF also isnt finished making Ryu and Ken more different from each other in SF. It keeps going over the years in the series.

The biggest difference between KOF and SF? If as a player of SF you prepare your tactics 50/50 (50% to the player and 50% to their chosen character) in KOF you need to x3 that prep, for in KOF a player have 3 different characters that can be in different orders that can literally throw any prep out the window.
