An owl woke me up a few mornings ago at 4 am. 😁

In PA I saw a small WHITE OWL that had gotten STUCK on the GRILL on a TRACTOR / TRAILER while eating INSECTS OFF THE GRILL ... The little WHITE OWL SURVIVED all 8" ht at adult sized owl for that SPECFIC species of OWLS... BEAUTIFUL SMALL CREATURES OF NATURE THE ARE SOOO VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE ECOSYSTEMS...

Alice in Wonderland, my fave fairy tale. Owls are also a very spiritual for me. I have an owl tattoo and had the blessing of have one swoop in front of me on a forest trail one day, flying to a branch only 8 feet from me and staring at me. Quiet. Observant. Sure. It felt very profound and magical.

Wow Amanda!! That is so, so magical 🦉✨ and yet another connection point - I also have an owl tattoo, and when I came out to visit the island once, I came across a Great Horned Owl (my tattooed spirit animal) who showed up in the middle of the afternoon to sit on a branch above the trail and stare at me. It felt profound and magical to me as well, particularly because the park ranger I spoke to later said she’d never seen a Great Horned Owl in the park in all her years of being a ranger there.

The question can be answered in many ways. First, by identity - your name or social security number. Second, by function - what you do and can do. Third, ontologically - the properties you have, not the properties you think you have or want to have. People are easily fooled, and the easiest person to fool is yourself. That requires some honest soul searching, very few people are capable of. It requires you to say goodbye to any notion of morality - or (as Nietzsche put it): "And if you gaze long enough into the abyss, something in the darkness will gaze back at you." You won't like it. But that's not the purpose.
