Brother Andrew, tithe in the Bible was not giving 10% of income to the church/temple. Malachi 3:7 says that they left the Ordinances of tithe. The blessing/cursing in Malachi was based on obeying/disobeying the Ordinances of tithe. God commanded Israel to take 10% of FOOD to Jerusalem and EAT IT, not give. Deut. 14:22-29. God never commanded anybody in the Bible to tithe from money, because you can't EAT MONEY. We are commanded to obey the Doctrine of Giving that is in the New Testament. Your narrative of the word "tithe" is not in the Bible. That is why you use words like concept, principle to describe it. Also, Malachi 3:6 says that God does not change. Malachi 3:10 was based on obeying the Ordinances of tithe. Where in the Bible did God change the Ordinances of tithe? Please provide scriptures. Thanks

The tithe predates the law, is in the law and affirmed by Jesus. The Israelite did tithe and give money. 1st century christians did give money to the church. Not all people of the ancient world were farmers and herdsmen.
