They had the major overhaul of the engine and the AI is still so fucking bad it's crazy lol

The AI is really only bad during Ladder matches. It's the shitty spaghetti code that Yuke's left behind. Changing one small line of code can destroy the entire game so it's a risk they can't take unless they can get a solid 4 years off to work on new coding. The only actual overhaul was the gameplay and graphics but the coding stayed the same because it's impossible to delete everything and start from scratch in a 2 year period.
