definitely need to see more beginners guides or just competitive budget decks! the vlogs are pretty cool but, as a new player who wants to really open up to this game coming from dragon ball super card game, I just wanna see precise explanations that could be easier for beginners to understand and like the thought process behind building decks, like why this card is better than this card, taking this starter deck and upgrading it for standard or explaining different formats and more gameplay videos!! I think if you were to add more beginner content and maybe returning player content the channel would pop off!!

Omg.... Just tdy I thought of all the friends I had while playing Pokemon tcg. I have left them due to the insane expense of buying decks was. Then a thought came into my mind, trainer tv. I remember your channel from when I plyd and YOU trainer inspired me to LOVE pokemon. You have gave me the thought to come back and see if my friends are still out there, playing the game that I once did. I enjoyed every little bit of it, whether being at the local card store, battling, ripping packs, pre releases, etc. I know with this whole quarintine stuff going on right now I can't see them for a while. Would like to see more deck building and how to get cards for a competitive deck. Just getting into the game... have some theme decks, but hard to get into anything competitive... what are the staple trainers? I’ve heard different strategies... milling, control, etc. what does that mean? What are the basic supporters you should use? Standard vs expanded? How do you research what goes with each card?

Shouldn’t they have figured that out already? Do folks end up playing the same exact decks? Why not just copy the championship deck lists?

Glad you enjoy it! And congrats on becoming a Judge. Out of curiosity, did you find getting information about becoming a judge to be pretty easy? Or how could we help make that process easier for a judge in training?

@@TrainerTV Happy to help you guys! My best advice would be to study the resources available on Pokemon.com, like the Penalty Guidelines, and be up to date on relevant rulings in the compendium. Not to mention making sure that you understand the basics of the game; checkup phase, confusion, burn, etc.

@@TrainerTV Also, the most important part would be to understand that are working with a wide audience of players, and to always be respectful of where players are at in their Pokemon journey. Mistakes happen all the time, and whether you're a judge, or you just opened up your first starter deck, you are not immune to them. A judge should use every opportunity to teach players, all of ages, so that we can "evolve" together! :)

I'm from Australia and have wanted to try and get into the tcg but the closest place to me that actively runs pokemon is over 2 hours away. It's hard to get better at the game when you have no one to play with. I would love to see some tips and tricks to help newbies out. I get the core concept of the game but don't exactly know what to look for in building an effective deck.
