MiguelVictors on paper sure portugal are favourites, they have ronaldo, yet if you look concretely at their achievements they're not that good, they finished 2nd in a group where russia won, nearly got bumped out by zlatan if it weren't for ronaldo. You can't rely on just one player, and i'm sorry but nani etc aren't good enough to pull portugal through if ronaldo underperforms or is injured. Look at ghana though, not great players but a better team spirit i think, more passion and a better style of play recently, look at their qualifying games. You CANNOT judge Italy on Balotelli alone. Yes, he is their best striker when he plays his best, however, Giuseppe Rossi (before injury) and Ciro Immobile both had great seasons and can score goals for the Azzuri. Pair that with their experience in midfield and defense and they will make it through.

Don't underestimate Portugal just because squad wise its not as good as has been, past 14 years they have reached the EURO 2000 semi final, lost to eventual Champions France, EURO 2004 lost in the final in the biggest upset in football history, reached the semi finals in the World Cup 2006, Reached the Quarter Finals in EURO 2008, World Cup 2010 Lost in the last 16 against eventual champions Spain, then recently EURO 2012, lost on penalties in the Semi finals against eventual winners Spain. This will be a second home for Portugal as it is in Brazil a Portuguese speaking country, so I won't be surprised with them having a deep run in the tournament. Group F: Iran have next to no chance going through, so they'll fire everything at the teams opposing them. I can see why everyone doubts Balotelli being able to show up and that will determine how Italy plays...... but we won't, and don't rely on him to get goals. Just because people from around the world are less familiar with Italy's strikers, doesn't mean that they are any worse than any other team in the world cup, never mind this group. Immobile was the top scorer with 22 goals, and played on Torino. Sturridge, who plays in the Premier league, where yes I can see how you would say it's the best league in the world, but it is significantly easier to score in the Prem than it is in Italy. Let's be honest, you can say all you want about Italian football, but the one thing you can never, ever deny us of is our defense. Immobile is a better player than sturridge in my opinion. On top of that, we have Rossi, Cassano, Destro, Cerci, Insigne, and of course Balotelli who can all score goals, and bring pace. Italy is the most complete team out of this group, and when people tend to doubt them or count them out, they seem to win, as we have learned many, many times in the past. I want to say Uruguay to finish second as I am a Napoli fan and love Cavani, but, I can see England beating them because Uruguay are literally in my opinion all attack, and nothing else, while England at least have midfield, although that defense is very rough.

Group E: France are expected to make it through and may be overly confident. Switzerland have class players such as Shaqiri and Inler. Hondras haven't got much of a chance so may 'risk it for a biscuit' and throw everything at the teams they face. Equador have a good team with Valencia being their star man, but I can only see France and Switzerland going through.

Suarez is an injury doubt. He doesn't have Sterling, Gerrard, Coutinho,Hendo and Sturridge to feed him. HE has to feed Cavani with very little support from the midfield (often played with just 3 midfielders)... Uruguay's defence is shocking. Muslera will have to keep them in it. So much weaker than in 2010. If Suarez doesn't go I can easily see them losing all 3 games.
