Super cool design. I’ve considered adding a push dagger to the rotation but haven’t picked one up yet. But for the cost a Cold Steel push dagger is way cheaper and probably the route I would take. Kudos to the guys who came up with this design. It is truly unique and reminds me of CRKT’s folding karambit.

There’s another option out there. Check out the Forever Steel Alkaid. It will also transform from a folding knife into a push dagger. But this one does it one better than the Typhoeus. You can close it fully and put it in your pocket. It is also twice the price of the WE. Kudos to WE for taking chances. I like it. But there’s other knives I’d rather have at that price point.
@EnderPearlRs
@EnderPearlRs Жыл бұрын
The We is better imo. The way the We is designed it is a lot safer, I've seen the lock on the Alkaid fail from from a light spine whack and it could literally remove a finger.

@eyeofthetiger4184
@eyeofthetiger4184 Жыл бұрын
G'day Aaron, interesting alright. If you take it that far though, I reckon fully locking in both positions is the go. When it comes to knife fighting, reverse grip, preferably on a fixed blade, is better IMO, yes you may loose some reach, but you retain both fists to punch, you can slash offensively or defensively from a different, perhaps unexpected, angle/arc and you can still hammer stab should you need to. Those knives with built in knuckle dusters are the best of both worlds IMO and in reverse grip the blade is pointing away from your other arm/hand, but hey, each to their own, just hope I never have to test the theory for real. Cheers Duke.

They just released the Civivi version in g10 for $60, so now we can all afford this cool little gadget. I won’t debate the usefulness, etc., it’s just an interesting and fun knife. At $300 it’s a pass for me, but I grabbed the blacked out version for $60 (with a nice leather sheath!)
@DZNTZ
@DZNTZ 9 ай бұрын
@@jhall_414 it’s cool, very smooth action, great blade shape and cuts well. Nice fit and finish for the price, as per Civivi’s usual. First thing I did was make a leather sheath that can hold it both ways - push or ‘fixed’ blade - and sits in the pocket with an ulticlip. Now we’re talkin’!
