Hi Steve, I can see you love trying out new things with resin and was wondering if you ever tried pouring on a macaroon mat for the sweets that they make. There are rings that would hold the resin maybe to create some rings for inserting in coasters. Like you did in this video. 😊thanks for all your videos 👍

You could take a syringe and draw up the paint and syringe it into each one of the little bubbles… If you then pour resin over it and turn it on your lathe that would actually make for a super cool item!

Beautiful pieces as always! I have a question for you, though. I've been told that UV resin doesn't cure well on 2 part resin. Have you ever noticed an issue with them adhering to each other? Thank you for all you do!!! Love your attitude and giggles! 😄
@fairyspunfibers90982 жыл бұрын
@Kathy Massell Kathy, I have used both the UV & 2-part epoxy resins, each, in many of my projects, and have never had a problem with them curing! Yes, JDiction UV resin sticks very well to epoxy resin. 😊

@@fairyspunfibers9098 my Uv resin stays sticky what am I doing wrong 😑
@votepurple2 жыл бұрын
@@vlg8482 could be a multitude of things, how strong is your lamp? How long is curing time? Is it very humid where you are? (Resin ideally should be done at 50% humidity or less!)
@vlg84822 жыл бұрын
@@votepurple thank you I will try these and see how it goes, 😊
@votepurple2 жыл бұрын
@@vlg8482 forgot to say it may also be the brand of resin you’re using, I’ve only used the Jdiction uv (the first one I bought of Amazon was fake and never cured properly, I’d only buy direct now) uv resin is a real learning curve! I’ve decided to go on to 1-1 epoxy now as it’s more versatile in the colours you can use. Best of luck to you ❤️

Steve: what coloring do you use to make your resin opaque (ESPECIALLY white)? Even with heavy amounts of mica powder there is still translucence. Same problem with acrylic paint. Please advise. David Chandler

Hi Steve. Really enjoy your videos. I have a question for you. Is it possible to cast resin within resin? For instance, if I cast some resin shapes would it be possible to then suspend those shapes in resin? Thank you. All the best, Sarah in Nottingham 😊xxx

Thank you Steve for the extra money off the Jdiction 1-1 epoxy on top of the discount they already have! Really looking forward to trying it. I’ve been using the uv which is great but I think 1-1 will be better for how I want to work with lots of colour. Also tried out some iridescent pearl mica powder from Amazon and I’m obsessed!
@teedee4782 жыл бұрын
The jdiction mica...well worth it I bought the smaller set that comes with a pretty little spoon. The colors are pretty consistent and brighter than most.

@@teedee478 this wasn’t by Jdiction, just somewhere in China for the mica. I almost bought Jdiction mica yesterday though but went with Pimica as it was only £8-! I’m happy with them but I’ll try the Jdiction ones to add to my collection!
