Agreed. He never seems to play a bad solo. If you like JA, keep an eye out for next Friday's upload!

Bass was great, too. John Allred is the master of tone, technique, range and inventive improvisation. Never short on ideas. Always sweet and tasteful.

He’s the first jazz trombonist I was introduced to, and still is my favorite all these years later, despite now knowing many other greats! He’s always been someone I aspire to play like.

I discovered him fairly late, but he's one of my favourite now too. He doesn't ever seem to play a bad solo. Keep an eye out for next Friday's upload - you'll like it!

Louis had trombone and banjo in his bands, so not unheard-of. It's a very period sound.

Great slideman , the trombone and banjo is far from new as in playing together , there is a good bass player. John is a defo a master player and sound just as good even with no accompanying musicians

Ed Ullman. The big difference is, in my opinion, John Allred can blow James Morrison out of the room.
