Martinelli hasn’t beaten a man in 2 full seasons. Not once. I went back through the footage and when he does beat a man, it wasn’t from dribbling around them, it was from a perfect through ball and he relied upon pace to fill in the gaps. He’s never been able to beat a man, we just never noticed this. Now we’ve gone back to Wenger ball of allowing teams to create a block and just pass side to side waiting for the perfect ball, Martinelli is now entirely useless. Arsenal need a player like Doku on the left for this style, not Martinelli. Martinelli would excel at Liverpool who pounce when they gain possession. Ironically, Arsenal has the perfect type of player on the left. It’s Sterling. He has multi dimensional movement with the ball and can dribble in tight spaces. His only problem is deciding when to shoot or pass but getting past players isn’t an issue. I think arteta is not playing him to destroy his market value and maybe buy him cheap. If not, why tf did he even get him for?

Definitely keep as there's nobody else who's suitable to replace him which is the problem, this season has been ravaged by injury, not played the same starting 11 twice in two games, some piss poor sending offs. Our players looked dead on their feet, you can't sack the manager every time you're upset with results, look at where the club was before Arteta stepped in, sack him and we may just end up back there. He needs to get rid of the dead wood in Havertz and Trossard and Morino and we definitely need Alexander Isak and other quality players to replace the ones I've mentioned. Sick of this sack talk .... same problem with the world right now , to many opinions not enough knowledge but once you make the decision to sack him who will he be replaced with and who could actually do any better. He definitely needs to spend which is the main problem and get rid of the deadwood I've mentioned. No matter what the costs are you get what you pay for. The only change I make from last game is the manger. This slow build up high possession style is killing these players. Saliba White Partey , Jorginho, Odegaard, Havertz Martinelli Jesus and even Saka were bought to move the ball between the lines quickly to our pacy forwards, not walk the ball up thi pitch into a 9 man low or mid block.

It was so called strategy coached into these players from the thought process of creating uncertainty in opponent shape so, a throw in/ set piece on our own time lets our player more spaces to run into… two seasons later, everyone has sussed this out, opponents have a movies time, then puts 5 instead of 3 defenders around the six yard box and laughs their way into influencing the ref into doling out yellow cards, so yellow cards are only gains from this stupid outdated delaying tactics. Teta & Jover are fast becoming braindeads with set pieces. 😢
