Muse uses drop d, erra uses e tuning, and drop d is way heavier than es tuning

@@paparancia5667 yea but technically Erra is using an octave lower than the usual E tuning. Also I think why sounds heavier is that extremely distorted guitar tone that just makes it very raw

What makes Muse so interesting and unique is the strange juxtapositions in style. Heavy riffs with prominent distorted bass with clean and falsetto vocals combined with layered synth / piano in the background. Are they a metal band? No. Are they a full on prog band? No. Are they a generic hard rock band? No. They are Muse.

I don't think it beats the original, and honestly I don't think it should. Stockholm Syndrome is an absolute classic. That being said, ERRA made a great version of this song, fully respecting the original composition while adding some of their own flair into it. And Jesse killed it.

I personally still prefer the original. ERRA's cover lacks of some beautifulness in the chorus. Actually Stockholm Syndrome came out in 2003 on the album Absolution, but the music video has been posted 12 years ago, like many old other ones ^^.

The cover lacks any sense of real emotion in relation to the lyrics. If you read through the lyrics, Matts singing matches the angst and desperation much better. The low growling/screaming just hits a completely different emotion that the original didn't intend at all.

The cover is a decent cover, but it doesn't top the original. I think the cover needs to flow a bit better into the different sections especially in the first half, it also needs more contrast between the airy chorus and chunky verses. The beginning was interesting in a good way, a nice spin on the OG, the tightness of the riffs was executed well, does it fit the song though? I'm not too sure

@@lukecowley4949 You have to remember this is a cover and the original doesn't very standout guitar parts either. I don't think Erra is generic especially if you listen to their catalog Though I will say the past 2 songs they have put out are great but the guitar work has been disappointing especially since that's one of the main attractions of the band.

A very decent cover, though everything about the original is better in my opinion (disclaimer: I’ve always loved the original). I would have liked them to put their own spin on it a little more - but I guess they can do whatever they like. For me it was jusssst too much of a generic cover that any heavy band could churn out.

I enjoy metal, but I seriously can't stand that growl that so many metal vocalists use. The main vocalist here (sorry, don't really listen to ERRA) is good, but the secondary growl vocals just irritate me. I'll never be able to get into that style of vocal. Just not for me.

Not as good as the original...but a solid effort... didn't need the lows from the vocals tbh as the lead singer sounds like he has a great voice... but a solid effort... muse are masters of their craft but this is a bloody good effort to cover a muse song

Have some respect on erras name. They're the best band in modern metal aside from northlane. Their version had a way more technical drum track and better production and cleaner guitar playing.
