David Tennant yelling is a normal occurrence. Matt Smith yelling is scary as shit.

Because it doesn’t happen often, he plays at being this silly, childish guy who reminds you of a 12 year old and a grandpa at the same time but when he gets angry it’s almost like it’s wrong and you know that he’s really not playing around when he does. Matt Smith is definitely second runner up to my favorite Doctor.

It’s great dialogue. But it’s also Matt Smith’s line delivery. “That’s extremely very not good” … “Are you engaged or something?”

Did you notice the reference Matt made to the giant Victorian London CyberKing from the 10th Doctor's Xmas special "The Next Doctor" ?? Love it when a current Doctor references an adventure from a previous reincarnation & of course Amy can't remember the Daleks Still!! How?? They should be infamous..right?? 🤔

Looking forward to future reactions to this series! Some eps I don’t care for that much but there are some stellar ones!

Yeah this is a fun 2 parter, glad to see you guys enjoyed it. Now we shall see how much you all managed to observe from this episode for the future. 😉

Great two-parter and nice reaction guys. Quite a lot of people were unhappy with the ending but hey, it's all good fun. By the way, if you can, watch a minisode which comes between this episode and the next one (called Meanwhile in the Tardis part 2). It's not essential but it's fun.

Did you notice at 7:14 he was suddenly wearing his jacket again after losing it to the Angels? Keep an eye on that 😊😉

It was a great episode however what ruined it for me was the ending which wasn't really needed at all was Amy trying to seduce The Doctor i hated that so much, the BBC recieved alot of complaints from parents because they thought it was considered too sexualised for a kids show showrunner Steven Moffat written that in as a joke but he later regretted writing that scene and said in an interview if there's one thing he could change it be that scene.

yeah felt a bit out of place but i always overlook it because the characters themselves are amazingly well written

It's not a kids' show, though. Kids can watch it, but it was never something aimed at children. If it was, the amount of death and villains would be little to none. The actors curse a little and go through adventures not suitable for kids. The scene wasn't needed, that's for sure. But there is no excuse of it being a kids show. It's more like a family show for all ages. But kids specifically? No.

I love it how Garrett can't hide how much he loves Amy. Well, she is hot but also very forthcoming. An attitude that can get you far in the galaxy, ... but not sure it can get her in this Doctor's pants. He might look young, but this Doctor is very very old and very allienesk (if that is a word). But that dude-with-the-nose and Amy? Nah, never.

alienesque, the spelling of that post-fix is "esque," it comes from french
@channyh.221B Жыл бұрын
Please, don't .... don't do that. Not everyone commenting on KZbin speaks English as their native language. I know French cause it's the second official language but we use 'extraterrestre' for 'buitenaards' (my native language) and our third official language is German so 'Außerirdischer' I could have written that, but I just wanted to leave a comment written from the top of my head and for sure, the guys understood the 'Alienesk' - bravo guys - , even if it wasn't written the way that makes you sleep good at night. Then again, we all have our quirks, I get that. For instance, I like to start the first letter of the first word of my sentence with a capital, but you have no idea how many people don't do that. They even don't bother ending their sentence with a point. Imagine that!!!

This was actually the first story shot for this season. Wasn''t bad. Sadly most of the rest were. And it gets worse over the next few years :( Bring on 2023 Anniversary Season!!

@@dutchman8887 I'm team "Doctor Who is still a great show", then again, I've rewatched so much of RTD's, Moffat's and Chibnall's episode's and everytime I come up with the same conclusion. They all had some good episode's, some great, but all had some stinkers and RTD even got the biggest stinker: Fear me. Also, so far only one of my reactors - who got in the show two years ago and is now in 'Chibballs' era - , stated he would stop watching if the show was living up to the rumors how bad it has became. Now that he's halfway series 12, he can't believe the unjustified hate it got. Yeah, few stinkers, but not worse like other's era's. But he also got to see the amazing moments that Doctor Who still has. Or as RTD stated, if you didn't like Chibnall's era, you won't like mine either.

I judged it all pretty harshly at the time too but even my favourite RTD season is very hit or miss, and the climaxes were often nonsense that only worked because of inspired casting (very much including extras) and emotional connections. Revisiting it, I don't think there really was a drop in quality, and I'm intrigued to see if RTD can deliver, because we're expecting him to exceed both Moffat and our warm nostalgia.
