ED Ames is also famous for throwing a tomahawk at a full length Cowboy drawn with crayon on a board on the Tonight show with Carson. It garnered the longest continuous laugh on TV and certainly the Tonight show. The Tomahawk hit the cowboy where Johnny remarked " I did not even know you were Jewish" As to Audie Murphy he was not "ONE" of the US most decorated soldiers of WW2. He was the "MOST" decorated. PERIOD. He won every medal this country has to offer including the Medal Of Honor ( a few medals he won more than once) and a few from other countries. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery as a Major having "ALSO" won a "battlefield commision" to Lieutenant for his leadership qualities.😆😆😆

Ed Ames was a great actor and one of my favorite singers ever. RIP, Ed. 😢💔 Michael Norell played Captain Stanley on Emergency!. His character was very laid back, until the crew was called then he jumped into action and lead his men with strength and courage. RIP, Michael. 😢💔

Ed McCormick (Will and Grace) looks so much like George Maharis! When I saw the pic of a younger George, I thought Ed McCormick passed away. Correction: Eric McCormack.

When I think of Ed Ames I will always think of his appearance on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He was playing "Mingo" on Daniel Boone at the time. They decided to have him throw a tomahawk at a plywood board with the outline of a man on it. Ames threw the tomahawk and it landed in the crotch area of the drawing. I think it got one of the longest laughs ever from the audience.

When I was 17 years old, I lived in Malden, Massachusetts. Just a few blocks from where Eddie Ames and his 3 other brothers were born. Sadly, I never got to meet any of them.
