One of my Brothers all time favourite songs of the wonderful 70s, he talks about this Band / this song all the time and the memories it holds and not too mention those fantastic nights out they all had in the 1970s "Wow" driving about in their 3Ltr Capri,s and RS2000 Escorts etc, and all the other finest cars of the day ! I was lucky I tagged along for many a year!Some one said below somewhere you cant turn the clock back - but can we try !!!!

I certainly will! I am just about to look at these clips from Les Bicyclettes, I do not think I have ever seen this film although I do rememember the song of the same name by Engelbert Humperdinck, Judy Huxtable was certainly a stunner as are all the other ladies in this clip, I sometimes wonder why women of today do not look as beautiful as these? Thanks for the info.

Had no idea there were so many versions of this song. Candlewick Green does a great job with it, as does Jigsaw. I grew up watching Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods live because they played weekly at Busch Gardens years ago. I got to meet and hang out with them for months, back in the day. aaaah memories . I loved Mike Gibbons voice and would like to find out about them now? any suggestions?

3 bands from the 70s did this song. It was written by Des Dyer from Jigsaw, and Jigsaw did a version that this one was copied from, and although I love Jigsaw's version, I like this version a little better than Jigsaw's. However Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods did a version that I think is the best of the 3.

Tony Scott and Phil Dyer composition- original Jigsaw, with more than a hint of Tony Burrows!!
@theterrywebb6 жыл бұрын
Peter Turley it was Clive Scott and Des Dwyer who wrote and played on the origin version which was released on a jigsaw album but allowed Candlewick Green to release it as a single first because both groups were with the same management. I am flattered you compared my vocals to Tony Burrows who was/ is an unbelievable singer. Terry Webb the vocalist on the Candlewick Green version.

Can anyone tell me if Judy Huxtable is still alive and how she is doing? I just saw clips of her for the first time on KZbin's "Les Bicyctettes De Belsize." She has eyes that make you lose your breath. Where can I learn more about her? Thanks for your help, if you can.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candlewick_Green... you are correct. Written by 2 members of Jigsaw and covered at a later date. They turned down "January', which was late released by Pilot. Broke Hughie Green's Clapometer, week after week! I'd love to reconnect with Alan, as he is my Uncle xxx

Did Candlewick Green rip off the instrumental and backing vocal tracks from the original version by Jigsaw? They sure sound the same!
@0605denise9 жыл бұрын
Zehbron I saw this on Jigsaw's version before I decided to check this one out...I prefer Jigsaw's and Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods...: Uploaded on Apr 24, 2009 Who do You Think You Are is a song written by Des Dyer of Jigsaw . The band released their version as a single in a few European countries but not in their native UK where they allowed band Candlewick Green to record a version ( they shared the same management ) and it was a 1974 top 30 hit single for them. In the USA the song was recorded and was a hit single for Bo Donaldson and The Heywoods . The Candlewick Green arrangement is virtually identical to the original Jigsaw version although I think the hook line of the Jigsaw version is more powerful. It has in recent years been recorded by Saint Etienne Music"Who Do You Think You Are" by Jigsaw (Google Play • eMusic • iTunes • AmazonMP3)CategoryMusicLicenseStandard KZbin License
