Who Does This? An Unusual Interaction I had with Dynamic Discs.

Who does this? I'm spilling the tea on an unexpected twist with Dynamic Discs. This story stemmed from an interaction regarding my Blue Power initiative. This story demonstrates the corporate culture at DD of giving back and supporting worthwhile causes without additional conditions.

As a father, my son has autism and this made me tear up. Went to GBO in 2017 and loved all the great things DD did at that event. Been a fan ever since and even more than ever now. Truth,Verdict and Justice combo the best in the market

Too often money can be deterministic for businesses and their decisions, however, I believe disc golf is special in that the passion behind these companies (both large and small) is what truly makes them successful. I gotta say, I don't really throw DD discs, but they were huge in helping our local club update a course, offer their staff for certain work, and help contribute to payouts so we could be a DGPT stop last year. That's something we haven't been able to do in 9 or 10 years (when it was NT's) and DD made it happen.

I was doing field work last spring when a young man in the park stopped to watch me throw. I gave him a few discs and let him throw them. I gave him some simple pointers and he was so excited to see his discs fly further. I then wondered how one would get started opening up the sport to players with adaptive needs. Glad to see that it is happening Scott. Maybe watching this video is giving me the kick in the pants I need to get something started locally. Oh, and way to go Dynamic Discs.

I throw a few dynamic discs molds (Judge, and Sergeant) and while they have had some negative press with so many pro players leaving I think they are really trying to be fiscally responsible after the Ricky and Kona deals. They should also get recognition for the things they do like these philanthropic ventures. Their brigade team, Kona's crushers, and their support of the sockibomb foundation amongst other things.
