As the sandcrawlers were originally mining vehicles in Star Wars, I could see this as having started as a mining scout. When the mines dried up, the vehicles were left behind and the jawas took them for their own use.

It has caught my attention how, from loose pieces with no relationship between them, you make your own creations and when you can't find the ones you need, you make them yourself. Maybe my favourite thing you've made yet! I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but love the aesthetic and model-making potential tied up in the franchise, so speculative fiction like this not only side-steps the need to understand any of the lore, but also showcases your raw talent and vision in a way that feels even more fun to watch than straight replication of scenes/ships etc. (though that obviously showcases another kind of talent). Nice work! More like this please!
