Distrust, verify, and stay suspicions. beautiful way to put into words something I strongly believe in. Always be skeptical at least about ideas and advice that truly matter and can impact your life.

$4,500 Coaching Package?! Georgia Tech Online Masters is like $7,000, and bootcamps are like $15,000?! Is a series of his $600 Skype calls worth a Masters? Or bootcamp?

One note on the Bootcamp thingy: There are actually bootcamps and Mooc's that you have to pay only when you find a job with a specific title (exampe software developer).

Major reason why is people don't wanna try new things, they'd rather take all the rewards but someone else can do the work instead.

Also be careful with people who do things for you for free. Most times it may be nice but one time an Uber driver let me slide in to a McDonalds parking lot during the trip, I was like GREAT. But then again I came back with my meal in bag and then the guy pitched to me some fishy pyramid scheme for selling cosmetic products.

Hey Eli any chance you would put these “thing of the name” videos on Podbean? I’ve been watching most of your stuff over there and would really appreciate it if these were there too.

To be fair, I don't know any mentor that charges based on output of the recipient. But it is always good to question who wins if you are to put someones advice into action.

Eli, this reminds me the startups software houses, where you pay for making software, not for your startup future success.

First 2 minutes in, I've been thinking about handing lawsuits out to universities like candy because I just checked the loan plan I'm on and start to finish it would be 18 years of indentured servitude..... I was exactly 18 when I graduated high school.... seems reasonable to lie to a teenager about a sentence that would cost him more of his life than the 16 years a roman auxiliary unit would have to pay for citizenship....... NOT. The 13th amendment is still in force and so this indentured servitude that was "merely advised" is highly illegal!
@netnic775 жыл бұрын
Pseudo Nym did someone force you to sign for the loans?
@hwilliampolenz67135 жыл бұрын
@@netnic77 No, but those that would suggest I should do it also suggested that I would be without a future if I did not. Further, whether or not I was forced is a red herring as indentured servitude is illegal. The contract itself is illegal, regardless of whether or not I have the ability to choose it.... further still the value of this contract was suggested to me when I was a minor and it was under false pretense as no-one ever stated to me that the payment plan would be 18 years. False pretense to a minor. In fact, if I understand correctly, indentured servitude is often a voluntary act to pay off debts.
@netnic775 жыл бұрын
Indentured servitude was another person committing a third party without their consent. That’s not the case here. You made your choices and they did not work out in the way that you anticipated. No one forced you to sign the loan(s). Learn your lesson, evaluate risk more carefully, pay up and move on. The mark of maturity is owning your problems, not shifting your issues to others.
@hwilliampolenz67135 жыл бұрын
@@netnic77 I don't think that's true. How do you agree to debts for which you are later indentured if it's non-consensual?

Eli, you dont really need to repeat about who you are, what you do and how you feel about it, we hear it in every video, you get sidetracked sometimes. This i say, because you have spoken about making these videos short and compact. Thank you for the videos.

Um..yes he does. That's the reason people watch the channel. To get his opinion on things and as such he needs to explain why he's giving the advice he's giving.

My mom always said things like that. "Y'know, I was thinking about that __opportunityhere__ , and I really think you shouldn't stress yourself out with it. You're doing X to barely scrape by and I don't think you're ready to start it." Parents are scumbags from the start when it comes to doing things for yourself.
