Today I remembered my old friend. She once betrayed me and practically destroyed my life’s work. Simply because she started having problems with her mental health and it seemed to her that I was harming her and she needed "revenge". It was very painful to see your dear person as dead inside. I saw some reflection of this problem in this movie. The person “died” a long time ago, but they remains in your life and comes again and again. In memory, things, songs, dreams... And every time you try to kill it

I really love your takeaway :) The short is meant to reflect Freud’s psychoanalytical theory. I recommend watching the short again from more of a psychological point of view because there is a lot more for viewers to discover, like you were able to. :)

Goddamn the camera work the cgi are insane in this one, so good, chilling atmosphere, scary concept, a very well full length deserving one! Loved it! Kudos to everyone involved!

Nightmares don’t have a narrative structure. I didn't have the heart to finish the sound properly after my brother died suddenly while I was editing the film. I'm eventually going to find someone to do a proper sound design pass and completely redo the sound mix. The film was never meant to have a cohesive narrative structure since it's mostly a reflection of the inner turmoil I was experiencing after leaving the religion I was apart of for 39 years and the separation and eventual divorce I was going through at the time. Each one of the characters, alive or dead, are all physical manifestations of myself only, my emotions and the heartbreak I was experiencing at the time, especially feeling like I failed my three kids. The film was a way of expressing that inner turmoil, the guilt, shame and self criticism. It was a nightmare… …and nightmares don’t have a narrative structure.
