That is true, but sometimes there are disturbances and can cause the hotbox to inflinct the knockback damage to your opponent when using pery's peril. And the the use of rotation and then hunters grasp, can be easily evaded by side dash or using your evasive. Atomic samurai split second counter has no knockback, meaning you can punish the opponent after the counter

Tbh. I think metal bat has the best counter. If you miss counter you can jump up and hit the ground which does huge aoe damage and if you hit it it's a death counter but cooler (this is a opinion)

Yes but the hitbox on the counter is so bad that sometimes you even hit the person on the ground while facing the other way, plus its much better to be able to combo extend with M1s and all of your moves then to have to relly on a single skill

Split second (atomic samurai) counter is definitely the best, sure with prey’s peril you can turn around before the final hit (like he does in the vid) and start the combo with hunter’s grasp, but doing the combo from there takes alot of skill and will do less damage because of less downslams in the combo (since you don’t have hunters grasp anymore). With split second, it can stun them and let you start a combo that begins with m1’s. So you still have all moves, it’s a viable combo starter. The only thing holding it back is how it can’t reflect projectiles, but i think it might get added Also it has one of the coolest finishers out there so i mean, come on Also sometimes when you use split second counter, you can go a little too far to the point where you can hit the m1’s (and i think dashing to enemies or side dashing is blockable but i’m not too sure). Atomic Samurai can, simply, parry any non-ultimate physical attack I think. That and with how much more obvious it is are the only two real downsides I'd say personally.

you can use shift lock and move your camera when using prey peril so the last hit doesn't knock back, then start a combo with garou's 3rd move, and it also deflects proyectiles so it's just a better atomic samurai counter

I think garou conuter is better but first I wanna tell that the whole advantage of atomic samurai counter I experienced is that it has a much less wind-up for it unlike garou. And actually you can combo extend garou if you turn away before the last hit the enemy is gonna fall on ground and you can use the hunters grasp move, so overall I think garou and atomic samurai almost same, because they both have exclusive features.
