On the #1 Tim Brown return, I was in the student section at about the 5 yard line near the end zone where Tim Scored. This was even more incredible live because you could see at least 4 unblocked MSU guys who had Tim dead to rights. I literally screamed “htf” when he got thru them.

Every time the Rocket touched the ball I thought touchdown! He was just that good. He was electric! Tim Brown and The Rocket! Tied for first!

The craziest part of Tim Brown’s two returns is that he was trying to run out of bounds on the second one. The first one had happened a few minutes prior, and Brown was still gassed, so when he got the ball, he started running toward the sidelines. However, a Michigan State player cut off his angle, so Brown cut inside and ran upfield, turning it into a touchdown. Many say he cemented himself as the Heisman Trophy Winner from that play.

Before watching the video, I predicted no fewer than 3 Rocket Ismail returns. Technically I was right; you consolidated his two returns against Michigan in 1989.
