Elf main here and i wholeheartedly agree. when playing solo the Elf is a crowd control goddess and her ammunition dependency is not that big of a deal, the game is very generous in term of arrow drops. But when i play with online people...If a wizard or sorcerer drops in...i barely see my numbers popping up. almost never see a fighter or an Amazon though. mostly i just see dwarves and wizards.

I honestly put Sorc in God tier. Her damage ceiling may not be as high as the Wizard per attack, but her DPS is crazy high due to her unique dash canceling mechanics. She has little to no end lag on her run stops (everyone else has major end lag). So she can dash cancel any grounded staff attack with a dash, immediately end the dash with no lag, do another staff attack, which can be immediately canceled with another lagless dash. Rinse and repeat. Wizard may have stronger spells, but if done consistanly enough, Sorc can out damage him by just spamming her dash canceled staff attacks. Add this on top of her insane support, higher magic defensive bulk (hehe), and her higher mobility in the air, and she smokes everyone in solo AND team runs. btw, the current WR for Dragon's Crown Any% (Normal) category is a solo Sorc run utilizing this dash canceling tech.

Very nice. I've been playing Dragon's Crown on-and-off for 6 years now so I'm always happy to see more folks enjoying the game. For those yet to play, know that post-game aka Ultimate difficulty becomes a whole different animal. On the other difficulties, I'd probably have a similar set list as the one in the video; on ultimate, the entire cast becomes good tier with possibly elf moving into god tier with amazon and wizard because the gear options get nuts. You mentioned the dwarf's blizzard hammers, that's a post-game gear effect rather than his skill's default effect of a lightning attack. The effects are so outrageous and enemies so much more deadly that I find Ultimate difficulty to be the most fun time playing the game. I do also love them blizzard hammers as a dwarf main.

When my friend and I played through this game pretty much its release week, I chose the Wizard (as I always favor magic users, though I had no idea the Sorceress's utility would fit my general style slightly better) and he chose the Elf. We ended up working really well together, especially once we had enough levels and good gear flowing around. I always tried to carry one staff of each element (though I preferred Ice) to switch on-the-go, and I definitely loved the Slow spell for crowd control and boss abuse; I also enjoyed creating Wood Golems to provide distractions. His Elf, on the other hand, did ridiculous amounts of damage with her arrows, and her kicks were pretty powerful as well, especially against Slowed enemies. He also tried to carry a dagger once in a while for easy kills, but we always tried to maximize our end-of-stage points by not picking battlefield weapons up. I did jokingly call him a "fake caster" on occasion since Elf can perform small elemental "spells" based on whatever element she's near. He would just say I was jealous since it didn't cost him MP to cast them. I still don't have a good comeback against that. Really fun video, and thanks for covering such a great game!

As someone who's put over 200 hours into the game as the Elf, I can tell you she's terrible for Ultimate difficulty because enemies are such damage sponges that you constantly run out of arrows. You can use thunderclap to knock arrows out of enemies but still it feels like you're spending more time having to recollect arrows from enemies you hit than you are shooting them.

The creator of Dragon's Crown was very thoughtful. He created those beautiful boobs so all those lonely guys that can't find a friend or partner to play with can still have a great time playing the game. We should all praise him for not waving the white flag to those angry feminists and woke idiots that wanted to create a boycott against this game. If they'd wanted to make the Fighter competitive in Ultimate, I think he'd need two changes. 1) Change his shield guard ability so that if he defends an attack while allies are within the guard radius, give them the damage buff as well. 2) Lower the damage of his power smash a bit, but make it hit multiple times.
