The only reason why dick and barbara have more connection in the modern comics than starfire is because of the batman writers. after they took control of dick's char, they wont let him interact with starfire even though she was his first serious longterm relationship. batgirl is more of a retcon. Originally she was much older than him they only retconned her age after a batman cartoon show made her a love interest for dick. the dick and barbara is a biased relationship and it's writers are mostly shitty and petty. they always love to put down his relationship with starfire so they could elevate dick and batgirl. they made nightwing cheat on starfire have nightwing say it was always batgirl even its not true at all. nighywing and starfire is a better relationship, it's well written and their writers have never said or done anything bad to his relationship with barbara to justify their relationship

Dick and Babs have nothing but banter meanwhile, Dick and Kori have real, meaningful conversations and true depth of feeling. Babs would still be at the wedding though, just not as the bride. Who else would be the Best Man, or in that case, the Best Woman. Just to clarify, Dick and Babs do clearly have a connection and care about each other, but they just don't have a real relationship that means anything beyond friendship/familial bonds. If you want Robin and Batgirl, just go for Stephanie Brown and Tim Drake.

Definetly Starfire! After they broke them up in the comics, I'm so gratefull for the newer animated movies, even though not all of Earth 52 is great.., BUT at least we got Starfire and Nightwing as a couple. Now I'm having high hopes for Titans and maybe we're lucky to get some Starfire cameos in the 3rd season of Justice League. 💪💕

Barbara and Dick were only a couple because both were caught up in the thrill and delusion of being part of what Batman does. As both grew older, it was just more and more natural for them to drift away. Star Fire was the first relationship Dick had OUTSIDE the Bat Family, meaning that, in a way, she was the first girl he had chosen for himself whereas it can be argued that he dated Barbara and vice versa because it felt like that was what they were supposed to do. Additionally, every reason people seem to give for the two being together is just based off of their training, their times working together, and because of how their personalities work off of each other, but this is the big thing for me: Batgirl is just like Catwoman. The two have a very similar personality and act so much like one another minus the criminal dealings. That fact is one of the biggest reasons for me being against Dick and Barbara because Dick has never been like Bruce so someone who is just like Bruce's girlfriend would never really work. Plus, look at the characteristics of their relationships. Dick and Barbara had a flirtatious relationship that revolved around teamwork and having a lot of interactions with one another and they were only really a couple when the two felt brief moments of passion. I mean, come on, Dick proposed to her because of his initial reaction to her being paralyzed. Meanwhile, he proposed to Starfire because he genuinely felt a deep connection. Aside from that, Kori and Dick have a much more passionate relationship with one another that shows a deep care and concern for one another. Every time I hear or see dialogue between the two I can just feel the emotion they have for each other. As for Dick and Barbara, I feel like I'm watching two childhood sweethearts that get along well but you know they'll never last. I've never really seen or heard the two talk about really important things involving their futures, their worldviews, their personal growth, or really anything that isn't bat-related. It especially doesn't help that most versions of Batgirl I see are really just motivated by an obsession with Batman to the point of having a crush on him. I have a friend who is even more versed in comics than I am and their impression is that Barbara only dated Dick because Batman said no. If I'm going to support a Batgirl and Robin relationship, then I have to go with Tim Drake and Stephanie Brown; that's the only Batgirl and Robin couple that I believe truly cares for each other beyond adolescent feelings or flirtatious banter. And that's really what hooks people, the banter. The banter between Barbara and Dick is more interesting, but the communication between Dick and Star Fire is more meaningful and insightful. Plus, something has to be said about the concept of Nightwing and Flamebird.

the comic where he told her he no longer loves her was a retcon made by the biased dick and barbara writers, they did it so they can justify dick and barbara. it didn't happen in the original timeline. this is why dick and barbara is not a good relationship, it was built on retcons and bad writings at starfire's expense. it's not a healthy ship, it has to put down another love interest so it can shine. it's petty. nightwing and starfire is more well written

I remember batgirl when she was one women and independent...I hope eventually Graydon and Starfire patches things up again. They were a growing couple since the 1980s. And i feel 52's version of Starfire is not herself because she's trying to cope with being damage. Grayson changed too but he's much more direct with his emotions. I feel if he was there maybe they can start over as a loving couple again.

dick grayson doesn't goes back to barbara . not all the time. barbara is not the center of dick grayson's world. dick grayson's world doesn't revolve around barbara gordon. the universes where he ended up with starfire instead of barbara gordon like the titans cartoon show , animated movies, live action and famous dc comics storylines like kingdome come and nightwing new order where dick and starfire got married and have a daughter and a son proves that he doesn't goes back to barbara and that his character doesn't revolve around barbara gordon 24/7. stay mad.

Most people believe Starfire is better for Robin, who would also be called Nightwing, and less people believe Batgirl is better for him. With me, I believe that Starfire is better for him. Even though she is an alien from Tamaran, she looks hotter than Batgirl to me. I believe that Starfire deserves to look hot and pretty and should have a perfect sound of laughter, joy and a perfect look of a smile. That was what I thought of her when I first saw the OG Teen Titans, because in Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, we were able to see Robin and Starfire kiss near the end of that movie. Like I said, most people admit Starfire is best for Robin. And I am a Robin and Starfire shipper, always have been and always will be.

Babs, hands down! Their interactions grow from friendship to romance in a nice way because of how well they compliment each other! Their interactions are real, organic, and genuine! And no matter what happens in their life, they know they will always have each other to swing back to because of the values they bring to each others' lives. All those reasons from people who said Batgirl got it all wrong!

I believe what I meant to say at the time was that afterwards the relationship started to experience a decline, which eventually resulted in some really unhealthy choices that ended in heartbreak.
