Another thing to note is that Spider-Man 3 got the Star Wars prequels treatment. It was panned by critics at the time but is now loved by those who enjoyed the film as kids. However since Billy maguire is as old as Spider-Man 3 itself, the meme hasn’t died or changed even though the views of the people who make the memes have.
