Jadeja's t20 record is actually abysmal and people just didn't seem to care before this WC,I think he is great test player( also he should bat faster like he used to at the end) but not a good white ball player in recent times.

You don't need to look at milestones to know that dude has been mediocre as a batsmen in limited overs for some time now. He is a good all rounder playing a particular role as a bowler and a fielder.

1.) Captaincy doesn’t contribute towards being an all-rounder. 2.) Pat Cummins is an ‘average at best’ captain. So even if it did count, he would be a worse all-rounder than a pure bowler.

Jadeja has been good in Tests and ODIs but hasn't done much in T20s over the last 4 years with bat or ball.

There aren't many all-rounders who are playing all three formats regularly.😂 If I have to pick someone it will be Jadeja. If hardik wasn't made of glass , he'll definitely be right up there with Jadeja. He started his red ball career really well before fading into oblivion. He has scores in South Africa,A 5 wicket hall in England. I hope he makes a comeback though.

In test matches, jadeja is indispensable & one of the all time greats. In ODIs & T20s hardik is really great, can be match winner both with bat & ball.

how are we discouting rishab pant? pant has been one of the best keepers this ipl + has shown that he can bat at almost any reasonable number. he in the recent past has also been able to soak up pressure and deliver when the team needed the most. the only dowside he has is he just not experienced enough.

Miss the days when all rounder meant being world class at one skill and handy at another, like Pollock, Kallis, Flintoff, Wasim Akram, Chris Cairns, Jayasuriya, Klusener, Ben Stokes, Yuvraj, etc. Because of T20, we now have all rounders like Sam Curran and Harpic Pandya, who are neither batsmen nor bowlers 😂

Just off the top of my head... Craig White, Chris Lewis, Ronnie Irani, Ian Blackwell, Mark Elham, Tom Moody, Kahled Mahmud, Ravi Shastri, Wasim Raja, Andrew Hall, Justin Kemp, Justin Ontong, Brian McMillan, Paul Strang, Chris Ervine, Andy Blighnaut. Mediocre all-rounders (ie those who weren't world class at either skill, but were fairly good at both) have always been a major, vital part of world cricket. The problem is that memory plays games on you. Sh*t tends to sink to the bottom while excellence rises to the top. Our selective memories tend to remember the greats and forget the rest. Creating a rose tinted view of the past.

@@abhinay4200 except the fact that he does bat low in all but a few occasions. He has been batting after MS up until the recent years. And MS himself doesn't get much deliveries to bat. Only when there is an early collapse does he get enough balls. He has been excellent in finishing matches without statpadding. His team's 5 trophies would tell you that.
