Its because there are loads of them. If a main character were to fight one ninja then it would be a hard won battle, if however they are fighting 100 ninjas then they become pushovers that even comic relief characters can beat up. If there was only one green lantern then they would have made them nigh unbeatable however everyone and their mom has a green lantern ring.

I've seen comic polls in which the vast majority thought Superman or Thor would walk right over Orion; not so sure about that given I've seen Orion tank Superman's best punch to the face, taunt that it "almost hurt," then 1-shot KO Superman with the Astro Force and carry him away. I believe he also was able to compete with a "sun dipped" heavily amped Superman, which is incredible. And we know he has also brutally killed his father Darkseid and ripped out his heart.

i just realized Grail is like a newer version of Glory. Both are: obvious Wonder Woman analogs but more brutal and savage fighters, both are half amazonian and half demon (or evil god in Grail's case but Apokolips is usually treated as hell with Darkseid basically being space-devil and i don't remember what issue but i think someone referred to Grail as "demonic" once but i might be mistaken) and both have single word names that start with 'G' and mean/refer to something honorable, renown and that's often associated with god, heaven and worship
