Since my childhood, I liked Australian team a lot because they take the ultimate pride in winning for their country, the baggy green comes first to them, the green-and-gold comes first to them and no wonder why they win so much. Indian cricket has gone down the drain since IPL. As for Test cricket, only India, Australia and England play full series of 5 matches, while other countries have to contend with 2 or 3 match series. So these big 3 get to play about 13 to 17 test matches in WTC cycle while other teams get about 8 to 10 tests. Dean Elgar of S.A. who played only Tests retired because in next 15 months he would have got only 4 Tests. If Test cricket is to survive, ICC must ensure parity amongst all Test playing nations, regarding number of Tests they play in a WTC cycle. Revenue generation should be the last thing on ICC's criteria of allotting Test matches amongst full members. Franchise Cricket is just a sign of changing times and it can not be stopped.
