I always laugh when people don’t believe when we Dears ( Dimash fans) claim he’s the best singer in the world,they think we’re exaggerating,but after hearing his performances they always make your face and are completely speechless, and it’s not just us who say it,there’re hundreds of professional singers and vocal experts who agree with the statement. The hype is legit. Dimash sings in every genre from pure opera to Kazakh rap and does it all seamlessly and brilliantly. His 7-plus octave range gives him the ability to do things no other singer has ever done and probably no other singer will ever be able to do. He mixes the best of the music from around the world to create his own genre that I simply refer to as GenreDimash. He sings in about 15 different languages and speaks at least three. He has been documented to play at least 11 different musical instruments and is working on a PhD in Music. This is what happens when you take a child of 5 years old with a natural talent and perfect pitch and give them a musical education for 22 years. 7 octave range, sings in 14 languages, speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, speaks English fairly well and a smattering of mandarin. He trained first in Opera/Classical, moved on to Jazz/Contemporary. Got his first degree, went on to get a Masters in Composition and is currently doing a PhD in musicology focusing on the modern music industry. He plays 7 instruments and often composes his own music but he's such a perfectionist that we only get to see a small sample of what he composes for himself. Check out War and Peace 2021 if you want to hear one of his own compositions. You will need to put the subtitles on for that one as it's in Chinese but everything on his own channel has subtitles in multiple languages as Dimash has fanclubs in 140 different countries.

He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. In 2017 Dimash participated as a "dark horse" in the Chinese "I Am Singer" competition. He was just 22. Now he's 27. To hear how his voice is evolving listen to "Autumn Strong" from that show and then his same melody, but in Japanese, IKANADE, recorded for the 20th Anniversary of the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2022. Everyone mentions his otherworldly range, but it's his interpretation that pulls us Dears (world-wide fans) into such passion. He sings in 13, yes 13 languages. What do vocal coaches/professionals think of Dimash Kudaibergen’s range and technique? WHERE DO I BEGIN… Lets start on the vocal capability and range. So Dimash has understood the art of muscle coordination in the phonation area of the voice. He is a Tenor (meaning his voice tends more toward the middle and top of the voice vs the bottom like say a Baritone) so with that explaination he has a natural advantage to sing high and easy up to probably Bb4/C#5 orD8 anything like that, basically opera tenor high notes, meaning he could of just strengthen this area and become a really good opera tenor. NOW this is what makes Dimash fasinating to analyze. He can sing from a strong E2 - C6 in his full voice. Of course the sound coming out is different as he goes higher and higher but not only can he do this but he can sing dynamically in these places. Meaning he has muscle coordination in his lowest notes and highest notes. WHICH IS UNHEARD OF, but more then this, his production of his sounds aka his Dynamics range to the extremes of the human voice. He can sing airy (which is not special) but he knows how to sing so lightly in his phonation he can engage the cords with little to no pressure in anywhere of that range, that is just as light as breathing (which is how one is suppose to sing) now he can go to the extremes in strength all the way to the intensity, size and body of the most iconic Opera singers (saddly most opera singer dont know how to produce freedom in a note that loud so they push and it ruins the sound coming out). NOW LASTLY…. his falsetto! NOW the best part about Dimash is he consistently challenging himself, consistently singing higher, softer, stronger, lower, etc… and what he uses to practice is none other than the art form most complain about being too hard. OPERA. THIS GUY IS what every singer wants in some ways or another.

Dimash speaks fluently in Kazackh and Russian (his native languages), and is working on his fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English. In his spare time (ha-ha!) he's working on his Ph.D. in musicology. He can swim the length of an Olympic swimming pool underwater which helps with his breath control. Your experience of utter speechlessness is soooo common, we Dears have a term for it. It's called being Dimashified! And you were Dimashifation personified, lol. Brilliant!! Absolutely no-one who knows would recommend this performance as a first taste of Dimash, its almost to shocking for the uninitiated! This was one of his most recent releases, and is him after a lifetime of honing his craft and understanding his instrument. I suggest you go back to 2017 and his many performances on the Chinese show 'I Am Singer', and start with SOS, his, and the, first performance of the show, and then chronologically from there. This was his breakout performance, after which he became an overnight sensation in China, and has slowly worked his way around the world. Some countries are much more familiar with him, but as he has mostly refused to be controlled by a record label or the like and has stuck fast to his principals and creative rights. Your facial expressions have me in fits of giggles, lol. Dimash is unlike anyone else, his vocal ability is a mix of pure, unadulterated talent and very hard work in training over pretty much his entire life. His native tongue is Kazakh and his earlier attempts at singing in English were not quite so polished, his pronunciations have definitely improved over the years. However, his stage presence and vocal acrobatics mean you can forgive less accurate pronunciations etc as concentrating on that during his performances will leave the listener missing out on so much of his talent. He is a delightful young man too, by all accounts, and those who dislike his voice (and say he screaches rather than sings) have no idea about music imho!! He is the GOAT in his field.

Now you know why hes the best in the world. Quick background. Hes from Kazakhstan. He turns 28 this month. Hes been in formal music education and training since age 5. He sings 7 octaves and 9 semi tones in 13 languages and plays 8 instruments. He holds multiple degrees in music and is working on his PHD. He was on a sold out tour in 2019 and played NY to 19,000 where fans came from 68 countries to see him. No other artist could do that. Then covid hit. He has just started performing concerts again in the past couple months. His 1st album went platinum in 37 SECONDS! Triple platinum in under an hour. He has a huge fanbase worldwide. Dimash is a bass, a baritone, a tenor, an alto, a mezzo and a soprano all in one singer. He also can make whistle higher than Mariah Carey. Because he is a magical dolphin :) He sings in 12 languages. Of course Dimash isn't speaking all of them, but he is studying hard. This is a god given singer from Kazakhstan. You need to hear songs from the Singer competition like SOS and Autumn Strong. Although it's a TV show it's also a competition so it's much less 'produced'. But his fans have heard him sing in many circumstances, Acapella, at concerts without a mike, backstage singing for Andrea Bocelli and even singing quietly to himself walking through an airport, his voice really is that good. Plus he's an amazing person with a beautiful personality who loves his fans as much as we love him. He's kind, gentle, loving and generous with an extremely funny sense of humour. The fans are often making him crack up laughing mid song at concerts.

Actually, the production here is completely standard, nothing special, no autotune or any voice alteration. I actually attended several of his concerts and I prefer how his voice sounds more beautiful and rich with no production at all, on fancams, a capella or even without mic.

Welcome to the dimension of the world that is Dimash! Nothing like starting with shock and awe. LOL Dimash speaks Kazakh (native tongue), Russian, and yes, English. He is studying Mandarin, and speaks a very limited amount at this point. He sings in many more languages than he speaks, including Japanese, Ukrainian, Turkish, Kyrgyz, Serbian, Chinese (Mandarin), French and Italian. He also holds degrees in classical music (vocal), and contemporary music (vocal), and received his Master Degree in composition in June of 2020. He is currently working on his Doctorate in musicology. He started music school when he was five. His education and voice are only topped by his who he is as a human. He is a philanthropist, humanitarian, and still very humble. He loves his friends, his family, his Dears (the name he has given his fan base), and the world! As for what to listen to next? That was the best singer in the World showing about 1/2 of what he is capable of. Dimash can sing anything, in any register, in any style, with almost infinite breath control. And as a bonus .......He sings with great emotion. Always "telling the story" of the songs he sings. By the way he does speak English. And 3 other Languages. 4 in total.
