I attended an AOG Bible College many years ago and we were studying the book of Hebrews in depth. For homework we had to read the book of Hebrews and we had to mark every-time the word 'better' appeared and count it. Just a little correction. @36:25 Martin Luther King Jr. wasn't STABBED. He was struck in the face at 6:01 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 1968, by a single .30-06 bullet fired from a Remington Model 760 rifle. The bullet entered through King's right cheek, breaking his jaw and several vertebrae as it traveled down his spinal cord, severing his jugular vein and major arteries in the process, before lodging in his shoulder. I think the story was told to show how much Dr. King loved the Jews. He read a story which was meant to portray Jews as being of very poor character and still saw them in the best light. It showed the reverence he had for the Jewish peoples and the Kohanim.

The parable of the good Samaritan was not about Jews being bad or evil. Jesus was asked who is my neighbour by a Jew. He used a Samaritan to make the point that your neighbour is whomever you show mercy to and who shows mercy to you not someone from your tribe or religion or country.

He used a literary device called exaggeration to drive the point that your neighbour is not someone of your tribe or religion. It could even be someone despised by others. Your neighbour is whomever you show mercy and whomever shows you mercy. He tried to show no one was despised by God even a Samaritan. And the parable ends by Jesus telling the Jewish man who asked the question "go and do likewise". Meaning show mercy to everyone.

We know Ishmael was Abraham's firstborn son, and Esau was Isaac's first born son, but how did that work out? Reuben was the firstborn of Jacob, lost the birthright, Judah prevailed over his brothers, but Joseph was given the birthright. Understand that Israel and Judah broke the covenant, sold the inheritance, and are in need of redemption. Therefore, the Chosen and Annointed High Priest and King of Israel was sent to redeem Israel. "For the transgressions of my people He was wounded" and "the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." . Judah is still trying to prevail over his brothers butJoseph was given the birthright, thus his son born to a Egyptian priestess, which by the way, Ephraim the youngest received instead of Manasseh the firstborn obtained. And the moral of the story is that God decides who is given the coat of many colors and the inheritance, not geneology, meaning because you are a Jew means little to God. Have you received the birthright and the inheritance that goes with it? Those who receive the Chosen and Annointed Son of God who wears this coat, and unto whom the inheritance of God belongs, are the children of the Kingdom.

The Rabbi's sole intention is trying to stop Jesus from being the promised Messiah. What he gives are excuses. Not explanations. Hosea was a PROPHET. He wouldn't write historical events just for fun. Prophecy is imbedded among other scriptures. Only those God has given insight to can see it and understand these. Jesus speaking to his disciples regarding the Jewish Religious leaders. FIRSTBORN can mean different things. Israel as a Nation is called God's FIRSTBORN. Being chosen among nations to produce the Messiah. King David is called God's FIRSTBORN.
