I found the audio fine - maybe it had been adjusted since a year ago - but my real comment is this: Fantastic lecture on a mostly unknown, but significant member of the Impressionist movement. I discovered him recently after a visit to the Chicago Institute of Art and during an online course on Impressionism through Oxford University's continuing education program. My only regret is that I did not discover Caillebotte earlier in order to see this amazing exhibition. Thank you to all who worked hard to pull it together.

I think we are prescriptively told which artists are great. However it is a very personal and subjective thing to love a piece of art. I'm a Caillebotte fan. His self portrait is sublime.

It’s a bit strange to omit the context of these paintings along with his romantic persuasions.
