Hi! Here is another very powerful character and his story. Do you think we might see him "reactivated" sometimes by WOTC, maybe in Baldurs Gate3? By the way, I tried something new in this video, tried to do most of it with AI generated arts, I did through various apps available today. Enjoy the video!

Thank you for the video, Kate. Yes, I think we will see him in Baldur's Gate 3. I think he is the cause of the special tadpoles the travelers have in their heads.

@@Suzanne_sf I couldn't wait to play and meet him. Definetly will safe the game and try to kill him first to see what happens! 😄

Love this! After 700+ hours of play over the last three years and four months, my player's characters who started in the Lost Mines of Phandelver are now 16th level, and the respected (and or feared) leaders of the mining town of Phandalin. At the end of tonight's session the party followed Heilunga, an Anchorite high priestess of The People of the Black Blood and arch-druidess of Malar, through a tree portal into the eastern branch of the Neverwinter Woods to the ancient ruins of the nearly two thousand year old crashed Netherese flying city of Xinlenal in search of source of the increasingly dangerous extraplanar incursions which they have reason to believe may be connected to the Codex of Infinite Planes.

This is a great video! I never really interact with videos beyond just watching them, but this deserves a like and comment, such a great overview of a really obscure character I am really looking forward to using in my campaign!

I just stumbled across your channel, and as a longtime player/DM and lover of the FR setting... bravo! I knew a fair bit about Netheril, the Scrolls, Karsus and The Folly, but knew nothing of Ioulaum. I'll definitely be checking out the rest of your content. Thanks! If you haven't already done so, the Rise and Fall of Myth Drannor, the Founding of the Harpers and evolution of the Moonstars and the fall of Abberant empires such as that of the Aboleth might also make for great videos! Great job on spreading the D&D and FR lore!!! :)

I feel like this was the one guy who I had already passing knowledge on, but didn't realize until watching your video just how much he is needed in the campaign I'm working on as an unlikely ally to the party.
@TellmeLore2 жыл бұрын
I'm happy that my video helped! Is he going to be an elder-brain or a still humanoid in your campaign?
@mTealeaf2 жыл бұрын
@@TellmeLore An Elder Brain, with enough fleeting connection to Mystra and memory of the Weave and their human life, to help the party stop Shar in a time-heist to the 3.5 era from causing a slightly different Spellplague through her expanding clergy via the absence of Lolth and vanity of Cyric, agents of the Shadovar, and the alhoon illithid society of Ch'chitl that she has been lying to in their troubled time after the Time of Troubles. Along with a handful of other surprise allies for team Mystra, such as Larloch and Daurgothoth who REALLY don't want the Shadow weave to replace the classic weave.. Ioulaum is like exceedingly perfect as an Ally, though it might take Mystra herself to convince him to help.

Thank you! You are right, this trio is the best, especially dragons and liches. No dnd story goes without either of these two interfering somehow

Im playing a kid wizard that is called a Genius by other players, also some DM's have interest in what My kid is doing... Right now is level 10, i'm preparing everything so when he gets to level 20 can make something badass... I want him to create a Mythallar so he can create a Floating City for all his Friends and good people, but the problem is Mystra's ban... Any advice for this imposible goal?
@gudemik5335 Жыл бұрын
In myths such geniuses don't ever have a good ending, they usually challenge the gods and pay a sour price for that, also in forgotten realms power play is so canon that a 20th level wizard can't hope to change even a comma of the setting, so no way he can float a city. On the other hand the game is yours (and your friends) alone so anything is possible :D Personally I would make him so knowledgeable of the weave (that should take a real long time and dedication and luck and adventures and fun), that he manages to visit Mystra in her own domain to discuss magic in such depth and with so much creativity that he suggests a way to strengthen the weave so much that even mythallars couldn't weaken it and she agrees to try his idea, at least this once. And as a DM I would see how he fares with his new responsibility to decide if there is the real chance he could have thus reintroduced epic level magic into Toril
