YES. Been a fan since their debut in 2014, and i swear to you, they've consistently surprised me with their growth. It's hard to believe they're real. 1. This is their default position to appear in, so it should make it easier for you to remember who's who to start with. From left to right, it's moonbyul, solar, wheein, and hwasa. 2. Mamamoo is unconventionally talent centered. All 4 can sing, rap, dance, and write. Moonbyul being literally the most credited female songwriter in SK of all time. 3. All 4 have successful solo careers. Their diversity in genres show both as a unit, and as individual artists. (I hope you get to explore these too!) 4. A lot of their music focus on empowerment, self love, and generally being bad ass. On the flip side, they also have tunes that are pure crackheadery and for fun. It's the best of all worlds. 5. Honestly, just some of the hardest working artists in the industry. Be it individually or as a group, they release more content in a year than some groups do in 5. Moomoos are FED. This is a fact. I'm a big Mamamoo fan. Very much enjoy everything they do. All the songs they showed here had MV's except I Miss you. All the songs were title tracks, except for I Miss You and Dingga. It is worth pointing out that the B sides are very much worth it (eg, I miss you). The best version of I Miss you (it was slightly re-written for the competition) is the one they sang at Queendom. Mamamoo are amazing live, especially, with a live band, and audience. They have a way of drawing in the crowd, and i think it is one of their signature moves. As you saw with I Miss you, they really can express emotions through their singing... and in this medly, you can see how they can just turn it on and off. Another special thing about Mamamoo, is that each of the ladies have multiple Solo songs. The Rapper (Moonbyul, or Moonstar) has the most diverse list of songs, and they are all really good... from her rap anthem (eclipse) to punk rock (CITT) to ballads (Absense). She recently won a singing competition, and the songs she sang were all getting into the top 100 international charts in spotify. She also writes most of her raps, and is the most credited female singer. Quite a few colabs from her too. Solar (the one next to the rapper) has the most eclectic list, she has only two solo MV's (spit it out and honey), but she has a lot of medleys and special performances on her youtube channel. the standout for me is Adrenaline, but she did sing all her songs live from her album this year. Wheein (Next in line from the video) is an amazing vocalist. Her solos, Easy, Water color and Make me happy are worth a watch. Finally, Hwasa has HUGE stage presence, and her songs have all been huge. Twit, Maria and I'm a B. You saw their personalities here, and how they work well together... They are currently have a world tour running, but they haven't announced countries yet. BUT of the concerts they have done, we got fancams of them surprising the audiance (no surprises anymore, but looking forward to it) by each of them coming out and singing each others solo's. As a fan, it was really really cool to see this, and that they are able to surprise the fans, in what they do on the stage. Another example of this, is how they will often change the style of the song they are singing, or the arrangement, They will still be singing the same song, with same words, but it will be rearranged with different backing instruments and styles, and different repeats, pauses, adlibs, dance moves. I'm a very big Mamamoo fan, and i hope you get to see Mamamoo as i see them. Will be here to watch your journey as it comes through.

I don't know if it's really fair to say that about "all" other girl groups, that's a super broad generalization that totally discredits so many other amazing groups. I feel like I see people say stuff like that about mamamoo and stuff like "they're the ONLY girl group I stan" and really you're just limiting yourself while not giving any credit to how hard other groups work. It's also sort of misogynistic in a way, like lifting up one girl group by saying they're "not like the others" like the others are a bad thing. Plus mamamoo is simply one of the most well-rounded kpop groups in general, not just out of girl groups. Sorry for that rant lol, it's something that just frustrates me as someone who loves girl groups and ults mamamoo. And yes, support Illella!

I guess it's just upsetting to me that people tend to lift up mamamoo by putting down other girl groups, especially since u know mamamoo would hate that. It's always fun to watch someone talk about how well they sing. Before they get to "I Miss You". :) So good. Check out their version of "I Miss You" from Queendom. It's dedicated to their fans, its really special. All of these songs have MV's. They have a pretty extensive catalog of music as well. And that doesn't count their solo work. Each of them are successful soloists as well. If you get a chance check out Moonbyul's (rapper) performance of Refuge from A Second World competition.

All the songs have music videos except for I Miss You. For that song, I'll throw my hat in with the crowd and recommend the Queendom live performance for it. You'll probably get recommended the Immortal Songs Medley as well, which is a live performance comprising famous classical songs they arranged for a music show. Near the end of one of their concerts, they performed a medley of some of the songs they sang on that show. To learn their names, I recommend the 2 part intro guide by MOO YT. Some may recommend the Purple Hawke guide, but the MOO YT one is more updated and goes over their career as well as the individual members. As for music video recommendations, my personal favorite is Wind Flower. Whichever video you choose to do first, please remember to watch from the official MAMAMOO channel. Mamamoo is known for their great live performance. Imo, they sound even better live (even if you compare it to the official recording). If you decided to dive more into mamamoo, make sure to watch their live performances. I will recommend these first to you: 1. Immortal Songs Medley (they perform this in the middle of their concert years ago, it's a medley of their performances from a korean show, 'Immortal Songs 2' they had to remake old korean songs in that show, plus moonbyul(the rapper) wrote her own rap verses because the original songs didn't have one) 2. All of their Queendom performances 3. All of their MAMA awards performances (MAMA 2018, 2019, 2020) I would recommend a lot more, but you can check those first😂 Have fun discovering mamamoo! I just discovered them last year, they makes me change my perspective of kpop groups

ty for reacting! mamamoo are the vocal queens, it's a well-known fact, also you can sat that they basically built rbw agency (the company they are in), they are in the game for almost 9 years already not only that but all 4 of them are also successful solo artists my favorite girl group they eat CDs just like that can't wait for ur mamamoo journey, subbing rn! btw all the songs from this medley have mvs except I miss you also could u pls react to onewe (it's a self formed and self producing instrumental band, mamamoo's little brothers if u wish cuz they under the same label), they are incredibly talented, first 2 mvs I'd suggest to watch are montage_ and universe_ both from the same album and give u a nice variety and a feel of what their music is

I basically just stan BTS but Mamamoo has a place in my heart and on my shelf because their discography is immaculate and their personalities are GOLD. They've been dubbed "beagle idols" because they're just hyperactive crackheads. I had a hard time getting into girl groups and largely gave up because idol groups aren't generally about music, they're about pageantry. Which I enjoy on like a superficial aesthetic level but with my music, I like for their to be some kind of emotional connection--that's just my personality, I guess. And frankly, as a grown woman (in the west, I won't speak for other cultures), the lyricism and concepts always felt a little un-relatable and sometimes distasteful anyway. Like not in step with my idea of empowerment (I'm not into the "look at me, now look at you," "I can have any man or any brand I want," kind of stuff). But Mamamoo comes from a small company and they have a lot of control over their art and are very free to express themselves (tattoos all over, the rapper is the most credited female idol, free use of alcohol and profanity, etc). And they just feel more relatable and accessible and genuine. And the talent is really unbeatable. Every single one of them is a talented artist in their own right and they really are real vocalists. Not just studio artists who have mastered lip syncing. Like real, honest-to-god SINGERS which are a rarity in the kpop world too. Anyway, I really encourage you to check them out more!

To paraphrase you; less than 5 minutes in and I'm subscribing! You've got great energy and I love the attention to the vocals. Also, incredibly Hwasa (raspy, jazzy tone in sweatpants) was actually sick this day, and still managed to deliver vocals. Definitely check out more of their live stuff, they love performing and it really shows - Immortal Songs Medley kills, 11 minutes of non-stop singing and dancing (in high heels, might I add) right in the middle of a 4 hour concert!

All songs in here besides 'I miss you' have official m/v's there are a few different live versions of I miss you out there though. They have newer songs since this was recorded. 'Where are we now' (ballad) 'mmmmuch', '123 eoi' and 'Illella' (all three are bops). Moonbyul (rapper) writes all of her raps and is either the first or second most credited female rapper. They all have solo careers with m/v's. There is literally so much content from these ladies you can never run out. I am looking forward to your next reaction!! Thank you again

Welcome to one of the deepest rabbit holes in kpop! Or, as moomoos (Mamamoo fans) like to say, Welcome to the radish field! Moo means radish and MMM's light stick is shaped like a daikon radish. You're what we call a baby radish. lol I see a bunch of moomoos have already checked in so sorry if I'm repeating things you've already heard. There are MVs for all these songs except I Miss You. The best version of I Miss You is the live performance on Queendom, which was a female competition tv show that MMM and (G)I-dle participated in back in 2019 along with 3 other groups and a soloist. Mamamoo often re-arranges their songs for concerts, award shows and other special events. For that "fan-dora's box" round of Queendom the competitors had to perform a song suggested by their fans. MMM took the spirit of the fan round to heart by partially re-writing I Miss You to turn it into a love song to moomoos. None of the other competitors took that approach to the assignment. It's one of the best live vocal performances you'll hear by a kpop group, the main contenders being MMM's 14 appearances on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs 2. Spoiler alert - Mamamoo won the competition and received a comeback special on MNET as their reward for being crowned the Queens. Fortunately MNET doesn't block reactions to Queendom. There are a bunch of excellent performances by everyone on Queendom. Besides I Miss You and the other songs they did for Dingo's Killing Voice my other recommendation would be the Immortal Songs Medley, which was filmed at a MMM concert in 2017 and includes some of the covers MMM performed on Immortal Songs up til then. please you should react to mamamoo immortal songs medley btw quick introduction they debut in 2014 .Now from left to right moonbyul (aka moonstar)(1992) : rapper who wrote all of her own verses she knowns for her deep and low voice and yea she can also sing ,dance ,compose .... solar(1991) : the eldest and the leader who knows for her power vocals she's also able to spit some rap and she write songs too... wheein (1995) : she knows for her honey vocals R&B she has an angelic voice .I mean it's the same for her too she's songwriter and a greeat dancer... hwasa (1995) : the youngest known for her raspy and jazzy vocals and she can hit high notes just like the other members also she's a rapper ,songwriter... Welcome to the best vocal female group in kpop. They are always better live like here.. These 4 were brought together to be artists rather than idols. The 2 on the left have actually known each other since middle school and are best friends. Rapper- Moonbyul Next to her is the Leader- Solar One with bangs- Wheein Last on left one- Hwasa Updated guide kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWa5oYOorM-tn68 Every single one has top tier vocals, even the rapper Moonbyul. They are all successful soloists and are currently on their world tour, let's hope it includes the US. You cannot go wrong with any of their music seeing as they can do it all. They even have 'crackhead' songs ranging from who is taller, having to sleep in the car, who has the best kimchi recipie, dad jokes, puppies and many more. Below is a list of some of my favorite songs from them. Egotistic Where are We Now I Love Too Paint Me Windflower Mr. Ambiguous (debut) I Miss You Star, Wind, Flower, Sun Dingga Memory Delilah (cover) Good Night My Star Words Don't Come Easy Ok there are more but this is already to long. Left to right: Moonbyul the rapper, Solar the belter, Wheein the mellifluous, and Hwasa the raspy. (Mellifluous means sounds like honey, and there's really no better description.) Moonbyul is Korea's girl crush, every female goes crazy for her. Solar is a crackhead who goes all out with everything she does. Wheein is or has been the most retiring of the four, but has started to come out of her shell this year. She is considered the best vocalist of the four despite them all being excellent. Hwasa is known as Queen Hwasa, partially for being a mix of total badass and soft sweetheart and partially because everything she touches turns to gold. Anything she eats sells out the next day, and she is in high demand as a model despite not looking like a "normal" K-Pop idol. All four have had solo hits now, the first K-Pop group to do so. I would like to make a comment because of Wheein has made a new direction in her emphasis from a technical singer to a stylistic singer. Because of this people have started to say Solar is now their best singer. When Solar did a musical and having to train for the daily stress on her voice. She became a better singer and in some peoples mind she is now the best singer. They are all still working on their vocals it just the choices have made improvements at different levels. I love Wheein's voice my bias. Solar is just nuts at getting better as anything she does. Considering she didn't start training as a singer in her twenties

That’s safe to react to. Alongside that, you should definitely watch all 14 Mamamoo performances on the show Immortal Songs 2, as well as Solar’s solo appearance. People have made playlists so you can easily search and watch them all. Unfortunately those are not safe to react to, for copyright reasons, so you’ll want to watch them on your own. Speaking personally, I enjoy the medley version so much more after seeing the performances they were drawn from. However, you’ll be just fine if you watch the medley first and then later catch up with the original performances on the show. The rabbit hole is deep indeed. There is one video that perfectly captures how they can be silly and brilliant at the same time. If you react to it, so much the better. 😊 They are so versatile. They have so much soul in their voices, whether singing solo, harmonizing, rapping. The common message in their lyrics is one of self-acceptance, no matter what type of song it is. In their love songs and break-up songs and about-to-break-up songs, they never pine and lose their self-respect. Instead they feel the pain and then they move on. They have crazy crack songs where they diss each other’s heights, tell bad dad jokes, complain about having to sleep in the car, make kimchi fried rice, fall in love with puppies at the pet store. They have heart-stopping ballads. Their live singing is so good that the official MV to one of their songs is straight-up taken unedited from a live concert performance. This particular Killing Voice medley is “studio live” in the sense that a bit of light processing has been done to their voice tracks after the live recording was made. The raw version is out there, easy to search for, and it gives a more realistic sense of their (still wonderful) singing. Their pitch control is just a little bit too good to be true in the official version. I think it’s a bit like photoshopping pictures of models to remove all the blemishes. I always prefer the realistic, more truly human version. To be fair, most of the processing was to balance the mix, volume-wise, with just a bit of pitch adjustment here and there. The motivation was presumably to create a really polished product from an already remarkably beautiful raw recording.

There's a bunch of Kpop girlgroups with a good singer or two. You'll be hard pressed to find other girl groups where all members range from decent to great singers. The only other one I can think of is Big Mama. Never mind that all of them can rap, dance, write lyrics and compose songs or that every single one have a successful solo career while still being in the group as well. If you really want your socks blown off, watch any of their performances before a crowd. You haven't experienced them until you've seen them feeding of the crowd and see this little(5'4 and smaller) petite shy woman utterly slay a crowd of thousands. No lazy phoning it in for his group of women. You pay to see them in concert and they'll rock your world for 3,4 or even 5 hours. The famous joking line is that they are known to be only bad at one thing and that is lip syncing.

Hi! I just found your channel and wanted to say you seem really sweet! I'm enjoying your videos so far. Really glad you like Mamamoo, they are my ultimate kpop group. I noticed you said you are only familiar with Blackpink and (G)I-dle and that Mamamoo has a different "genre". Well if you want more unique girl groups, I really think you should check out Dreamcatcher. They are the "dark angels" of kpop, cuz their music have influences of rock and their music videos are horror ish. They also have a complicated story line but you don't really have to keep up with it if you are not into that. Just know that their songs at the beginning are connected, so if you want to check them out, I would recommend "Deja-vu", which is a fan favorite and it's actually a collab for a game (it also sounds like a anime intro haha), or to start with the Dystopia trilogy, "Scream", "Boca" and "Odd eye" (tho this era is more electronic than the songs from the beginning). I really hope you would give them a chance. They are also really chaotic, like Mamamoo, and have a great chemistry between members. Thank you for your work! ~

Anyone loving Mamamoo gets a sub. They really are that talented, yes that was Live. And they always sound as good as studio recordings maybe better live. All of the songs have MVs except I Miss you but that one has a Queendom performance, as does Decalcomanie which has a Queendom performance. Many of their older MVs tell a story as well. Their live concerts are insane, 3 and 4 hours and they sound that good the entire time, they all belt but Solar who is my Bias and the one you saw belting the most still sounds like that at the end of the concert. They all have Solo albums as well, each just as good as the group songs. They really are up at the top with the best of the best, they had to be as they were told from the start they are not korean idol pretty, so unless they become ultra talented singers they would never make it. they did it and smacked down the standards as well. 3 of the 4 have their own youtube channels. The rapper is the most credited female lyricist in Korea, all 4 have written lyrics as well as composing music for some songs, choreo and more. Solar has even headlined a musical as Mata Hari. I am sure you will learn the names. The leader(lots of belting) is Solar, my bias as well. Moonbyul is the rapper(she can also sing if you react to her solos), Wheein is the one with the honey voice and Hwasa has that sultry voice. They do nearly all genres, jazz, big band, retro, reggaetón, latin, r&b, pop, even a few rock songs and a couple which have a US country influence. They also have OSTs, which are insanely good, and crackhead songs like a song of Pikachi dressed as pokemon but it is also one of the best examples of their vocal talent. pre-debut videos exist as well. Live is best.
